It Just Continues

From today's News Tribune:

Nageotte has MRI

Pitcher Clint Nageotte, who was scheduled to begin the season with the Rainiers, is not with the team after undergoing a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam for his sore right (pitching) elbow. The results should be known today.

I have nothing to say.

ridiculous...
CALL UP FELIX.

NOW.

Mike Curto on Nags...
No results on the MRI yet, but I guess Nageotte had  the elbow pain during a bullpen session.

He also said that Nageotte was going to the bullpen. Which I am sure is a subject that can be debated on many levels.

Re: Mike Curto on Nags...
Nageotte moving to the bullpen was probably inevitable.

Of course, that wouldn't make it any less premature.

There is SOME good news
Our old friend Leone just did some yard work.

Campillio has been BRILLIANT. He's faced 18 through 6.

He gave up a hit on the first pitch of the game. Since then he's been unbelievable.

Rough 7th....
Campillo loaded the sacks. With 2 outs.

Kida walked the first hitter before he got the 3rd out.

So Campillo gives up 1 in 6.2. Not too bad I'd say.

Sherrill
That was the first I had heard of his fastball being slower this spring on the Rainiers broadcast tonight.
Re: Sherrill
It was about normal, for the most part.  88-90.  He was getting used to what Price wanted him to do.  Chavez will solve a few things for him.

He got the save last night, going 1.1 IP, giving up one run on two hits, 1 BB and 3 K's

Chavez....
Why do I get the feeling that he's a better pitching coach than Price?

I hear nothing but rave reviews about the guy.

Chaves
He knows what the pitcher is comfortable with, then makes that better with suggestions that can help.  Others try to change the way the person throws, just due to that being what they would like to see.
Well he doesn't need his arm...
to play Rugby, right? At least not as much...
