Good ol' Bretty T
Tomko was a crappy Red who became a crappy Mariner and THEN a crappy Padre.
And Vazquez...
Was a crappy Mariner who became a crappier Padre...
Man. Fixed.
I'm all ass-backwards tonight.
Yeah
you have Tomko in the wrong column
Brian Sweeney!
The Fighters signed him for next year.  I am pretty psyched about that.

Also, does Justin Leone fit in here somewhere?  :)

I am ashamed for forgetting him.
:(
I think
You should move the following players from the good/decent list to the crappy list:

Rich Aurilia
Brian Sweeney
Miguel Olivo
Gene Kingsale

But the Padres are
our bitter rivals!!!! Bud Selig and interleague play say so!
I could have gone an entire lifetime
without seeing the name "Kevin Jarvis" again.  Oh, and I remember Brian Sweeney picking off (I think) Jason Giambi (then an Athletic) at second base.  That ruled.  Then we traded him.
Addition to Decent/Good Mariners List
Dave Hansen was hitting .282 in 2004 when we traded him off at the deadline.  I think that, in fairness, that qualifies him as decent.  When we got him back in 2005, he sucked.  Therefore, I think that he should probably be on both lists.
Very valid point.
Fixed.
speaking of crappy padres...
Guess who was watching a certain crappy former Padre pitcher?  Read on if you don't already know.  His addition would trigger a litany of "WHOA" jokes from me, as well as some tears and sorrow.
Mateo
I was going to say he's not a lost cause yet but his AA stats leave me sadly mistaken.
That's Comedy!
Sean Burroughs (assumed)...classic!
Huber?
He was a Padre right?

I guess still too little service to make the list.

Why do these people keep slipping my mind?
Well
there have been more transactions than should have to be counted between the teams.
Omar Falcon too
He's put up some ok numbers but its way too early to tell if he's going to develop into anything.
Besides...
he was a six-year FA this year and signed with some other team, only to be minor league rule 5ed by a different team...

If we're counting Falcon, a rule 5 pickup, we might as well count Darwin Soto too, and I think Billy Hogan was in there somewhere even though he never played one game in our system.

Yeah I wasn't sure how far we were going with it
I think the point has been made anyway.

Amazingly with all the crappy Padres that
we took from them, we are only down 2 games in this fierce rivalry.

"Jeff Cirillo"
Remember that utter bomb he hit against us? I found that moment perversely exciting.
Mike Cameron
The Padres and the Cardinals are like kids who's parents desperately want them to play together even though they don't have much in common besides going to the same school.

However... Cameron worked out pretty well for us. Sorry about that Ben Davis thing. At least he was tall with chiseled looks.

And by Cardinals...
...I, of course, meant Mariners. Getting beat by the same team every time you're in the playoffs will kinda stick with you I guess.
