The other day when Yuni manufactured a run completely by himself -- a hit, taking two bases on a bad pickoff throw and then some heads up base running to beat an infield grounder 5-3-2 -- and it was no big deal.

Eddie: Look, you want to pitch like me?
JJ: Well, yeah... no. I guess. You're my hero.

JJ: Umm, what do I do the rest of the game?
Eddie: Sleep! Don't worry, I'll come get you in time.
JJ: Well. ok. If you say so.

JJ: Yeah, sure.
Eddie: and when there's a big wreck and cars are sliding all over, what do the dudes in the booth say?
JJ: "Oh shit. Gordon's gonna be pissed?"
Eddie: No! They say that the driver is supposed to aim right for the car sliding past. By the time he gets there, the car will be gone.
JJ: Yeah, ok.
Eddie: That's what you're supposed to do when you're pitching: Aim for the bats. You're not doing that very well at all!

Eddie Helping Putz
JJ: Eddie, you really want me to eat all that?Eddie: Of course. You have to get your strength.
JJ: But Eddie, that's a whole table full of food!
Eddie: Look, you want to pitch like me?
JJ: Well, yeah... no. I guess. You're my hero.
Eddie: Then get eating. Oh, and no more coming out to the bullpen until the 8th inning. You're the man. Make them wait.
JJ: Umm, what do I do the rest of the game?
Eddie: Sleep! Don't worry, I'll come get you in time.
JJ: Well. ok. If you say so.
Eddie: Oh and another thing. You ever watch NASCAR?
JJ: Yeah, sure.
Eddie: and when there's a big wreck and cars are sliding all over, what do the dudes in the booth say?
JJ: "Oh shit. Gordon's gonna be pissed?"
Eddie: No! They say that the driver is supposed to aim right for the car sliding past. By the time he gets there, the car will be gone.
JJ: Yeah, ok.
Eddie: That's what you're supposed to do when you're pitching: Aim for the bats. You're not doing that very well at all!
JJ: Ok Eddie. I got it. I'll do better. I promise!
