Broussard GIDP
Well, fitting, Lopez shouldn't have gotten on in the first place.
Remember
it's not worth losing if you don't lose big.
Jeter:
0-4, five outs.

That's funny, and misleading.

Rivera passed ball
Willie in for Beltre?
the battery of Pineiro and Rivera
is like Ace and Gary from the SNL the ambiguously gay duo.

Joel and Rene are the ambiguously shitty duo.

Beltre out.
No word on why.
Maybe
They're trying to showcase WFB for an offseason trade. (Hey, I can hope, can't I?)
One would think
that giving Willie more playing time would have the opposite effect.
Still....
6 Pitch at bat.
Holy meltdowns
Royals now trailing 15-13 in the tenth...
In retrospect
I never should've opened a second thread.
It is hard
to sustain enthusiasm on nights like this.
Who is slower
out of the box than Richie Sexson?
Kenji?
that's entirely possible
... though my first thought was Smoky Burgess...
BUT
I'll say again that as bad as the pitching has been this year (and it has had some truly abysmal times), the real culprit has been, and remains, the utter offensive futility of this team. When I look at the lineup, I can't understand how they can possibly be as bad as they've consistently been.
that Raul AB
was perfect example
Padres about to sweep the Dodgers.
So that's neat. Or am I not allowed to root for our rivals?
Well
Now that I've adopted the Phillies for the rest of the season, I was kinda hoping they'd gain a game on  SD.
They can gain a game on LA.
I want the Padres to win that division.
BEAT LA! BEAT LA! BEAT LA!
Haha!
No shutout for you!
HAHAHAHAHA WANG
Wooooo!!
He was out, but whatever.

RALLY TIME!
Please homer, Yuni.
I want a reason to keep watching.
Rally!
snicker
Please dont let Rene bat
Oh yeah!
You suck, Wang!
Actually
Logic dictates that Wang is the one who gets sucked.
Rivera out.
Interest level rising.
Kenji..you can take a pitch
Curses.
Oh well, it's something.
BTW
Since I never get to actually WATCH these games...How does Ichiro look in CF?
Like a natural.
Easily one of the best at the position.
That's good
I'd wondered how he'd do. I know he's a great athlete and all, but the routes are different.
Two things
  1. He played CF in Japan.
  2. It should only take a few practices and a few games to get used to it anyways. If it didn't, then he wasn't as good defenseivly as we gave him credit for.
Pineiro
Out of gas.
DP..call on Green
Infield up close.
That's cute.
Damn, there went my question
I was going to ask, "If Giambi lined a ball off the top of Pineiro's head and it went over the center field wall, would it be a ground rule double or a home run?"

Can't do that if the's intentionally walked, though.

Technically
if it never touches the ground, it's a homer.

C'mon, Cano!

Yeah
I thought that was the ruling -- isn't it the "Jose Canseco Rule?"
Keep walking 'em.
Why not?
Wang is through.
Time for the seven home runs.
Don't bogart
pass that thing around.
Huh?
Hargrove won that battle?
what was the on-field delay??
Ichiro
Tried to bunt.  Posada catches it on the first bounce and throws it to first.  Ump calls it fair.  Ichiro stares at the Ump.
Ichiro death stare
Where's that "I'm gonna cut you bitch!" picture.
Right here
It's too bad
all of Ichiro's recent cuts have been wild and misplaced.
Cutting is a sign of emo overdose
He needs more Rammstein and crunk in his life.
Rammstein and crunk?
:contradiction overload;
At least
it'll distract him enough to stop the cutting.

(yes, you just got a sample of my bad music tastes)

Don't feel too bad.
I just downloaded Georgia Dome.
:EIFERSUCHT:
I MEAN, bad form.
Rammstein's alright.
Don't think I've ever heard Crunk before.

Then again, my music mostly comprises of bands like Iron Maiden, Guns N Roses, Judas Priest, Megadeth, ect.

Crunk was in reference to the likes of
Lil John and the Eastside Boyz.  Blame my sister for getting me into that.
...yeah I have no idea who those two are......
Oh my goodness.
Goose is like a time capsule from 1988.
Back in that time
Music was actually good.

Now it's just a bunch of idiots rhyming to a beat, thinking it's music. Another group of idiots growling into a microphone and calling it a form of rock. And the rest is just no talent crap.

There are very very very few bands and/or music I will listen too that isn't at least 10-15 years old.

Hargrove
Actually did something right.
No Valle,
I like to see the wrong call made.
You still suck Ichiro
Holy crap
Bohn destroyed that ball.
Dang
Bohn hit that upper deck foul.
Holy crap.
TJ Bohn looks like Richie Sexson with gay hair.
IGNITOR time!!!!!!!
killer B's
Bohn and Bloomquist
Rally killers
Haha.
Do that again, I want a brawl.
Yes!
So Beltre can finish the job.
Yes, pitch inside
to Mr. Jeter.
Red Sox coming to town.
I wish there were a reason to care, but I'll be more amped about the Angels.
But it's BIG PAPI!!!1!ONE!!!
Now, I could be wrong
but I'm pretty sure last night was way better than this.
Octavio Dotel?
Still alive?
We'll be able to dream
about last spring's Reed for Papelbon rumor...
It was more realistically like
Reed for Clement or Reed for Arroyo.  Reed for Papelbon was a blogifestation.
Now if Dave was on tv...
SWUNG ON AND BELTED!....
Good ol' extreme flyball pitchers.
Feel like puking?
Read this.

Conners said that he has noticed more baseball knowledge and passion from Angels fans since owner Arte Moreno bought the team three years ago.

"The fans in Anaheim are more into the game," Conners said. "It's more of a real baseball crowd. Honestly, it's more like a Red Sox crowd."

He's right.
It is more like a Redsox crowd. TONS OF BANDWAGONERS!
im calling a ben home run!!
why not??
well that was the exact opposite of a homer
Jose Lopez = clueless.
Somebody has to tell this guy that the season continues after the ASB.
Safeco crowd cheering
Sickening.

That was a barrel O' fun.

Okay, well
we can still take the series with a win tomorrow, which is better than I expected.
Back to normal
Last night had me worried, but I feel SO much better now.
Things I never want to see again
- Pineiro mopping up after Felix.
Actually
if Joel could routinely do what he did tonight (5.1 IP, 7H, 2ER, 4BB, 3K...I'd put him back in the rotation.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Don't give Dudley any ideas.

He actually fits the Jake Woods role just fine, which is where he ought to stay.

Pineiro
Can return to the rotation.  Just not on this team.
Yankee fans-Not good judgers of prospects
But then again, considering their craptastic farm system...

"This kid, Bohn, is a monster"
