Jones is coming up on Friday, Ellison is out. McLaren sounded like he was going to cry when he was talking about dumping Ellison. If he's that emotional with a bench guy who barely plays, he'll never sit Ibanez.
at first I felt bad for the guys limited use, then I loved him when he went at Blanton... he's exactly the right kind of guy you want to have on your team, he just didnt quite fit into our system enough to get him really involved...
I'll miss him
just added to my all-time favorite player list. Don't get me wrong I'm pumped AJ is coming, but Ellison was the man, I bet Richie's sorry ass wouldn't have stood up for Ichiro.
Thank you Jason Ellison, I hope you become a star..you are the man!
that i didn't see the last two innings of because i had to finish laundry before a trip tomorrow. after Lopez' whiff squeeze bunt it felt dire. told myself we had definitely lost so when i looked up the score i wouldn't be crushed, so seeing the W was like getting a new bike for xmas!

just cant enjoy what they got and feel the need to nitpick every obscure retarded geeky stat. jj with 2 blown saves is still the best close in baseball right now.
Really? Who on the Mariners is overachieving? I have this argument with my Oakland-fan friend every day. 4th in FIP in the AL just behind LAA. 4.32 vs 4.29. If anyone over there suggests our offense is overachieving...well good for them is all I'm going to say.
but if anything ide say just off watching games our offense is under acheiving... how many teams have a 1b hitting under 200? prolly non ide guess many of our players are producing less then last year
our batting avg w/risp is the saving grace. The pitching has been really good, or really bad with the bullpen being arguably the best in baseball. The only part of the team that could be overachieving is the bullpen. That's it.
him being happy about JJ blowing it does not upset me, hell we'd all be happy if K-rod blew it.
What makes me mad is that he implies JJ won't be able to handle the post-season. I don't think any of use would ever claim that K-rod can't get it it done in the post-season.
Wow, that was.simply.amazing! Few thoughts from the game:
Suck.alot.son (aka, Sexson) and Raul are TERRIBLE, but I guess I'm just beating a dead horse here. When Broussard was introduced in the starting lineup, I cheered like no other, and bunch of people looked I me like I was crazy cheering for him instead of Suck.alot.son. I was playing a game with my gf, where I predicted every single time Suck.alot.son and Raul would strikeout, and I was right more than 66% of the time!
I cheered for Adam Jones and dissed Raul, and people looked at me as though I just committed treason! What the hell?!
Felix looked really good tonight (don't look at the fact he gave up 4 runs. He only made a couple bad pitches)...I don't remember his final pitch count, but he was throwing ALOT of strikes! At one point it was 75 strikes to 23 balls, or something like that.
There something wrong with JJ. He was only topping out at 96. Perhaps he's a little tired after being used to death recently. After seeing him blow away Vlad on Monday in one of the most amazing 3 pitch strikeout I have ever seen, he didn't have nearly the same intensity as he did the first game of the series. M's need to do more with the offense and middle relief against the sox to save JJ's arm. If he goes down, I don't known what to do ...
Anyways, that's it for now, and I'm off to bed, as I'm tired as hell from this physically and emotionally exhausting game and series.
I'm glad people are taking notice! But most of all, I'm delighted that Adam Jones is coming up! Hopefully management has the sense this time to play him everyday.
Anyways, I booed the sh%t out of Suck.alot.son (Sexson) everytime he came to bat and everytime he touched the ball in the field. And while alot of people gave me an evil glare, I noticed a lot of people started booing him, too, that it became undeniable! Yey Big Ben...Boo Suck.alot.son!
