A lot of pressure, a rookie for the best team with not the best defense and die-hard fans. It's impressive, even if it is not quite as skillful. Give some credit to the Boston minor league staff who got him ready enough to pull off that feat. We certainly won't see anything like that for a while.

The Johnny McMariners have found interesting ways to lose during the streak. I'm wondering what fresh hell McLaren has cooked up for us today. Maybe, if we list the awful ways that we could lose, it will jinx us into winning. I'll start with a few:

Filling out the line-up card with blind disregard for who is pitching, hitting ability or maximizing our chance of winning.
Inserting Parrish or White in a high leverage situation.
Ignoring pinch hitters until the game is out of reach.
Sitting able players while the walking dead chase down fly balls.
Being an idiot (this might be too broad).
