I have no idea how much of their farm system can be attributed to him, but looking at Votto, Bruce, Cueto, Bailey . . . it looks promising. I wouldn’t have traded Hamilton, though.

I mean to his bosses. It was clear with every action he took this offseason that his plan was to upgrade the pitching - and pitching only - and we’d have a contender. He fully succeeded in doing what he said he wanted to do, and it’s failing miserably.
I know every year people swear he’s going to get fired, but this has to be the year, right? For the past few years I’ve wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but if you put all your chips on red and bust, what do you do?
I’m just trying to predict what the excuse will be, and nothing makes sense. Bedard and Putz being hurt? That can’t be enough.

Anyway, for all the shit he gets, he has put the Reds in pretty solid position, I think. Shore up the OF defense and a few other parts and they can contend in the NL Central.
I have no idea how much of their farm system can be attributed to him, but looking at Votto, Bruce, Cueto, Bailey . . . it looks promising. I wouldn’t have traded Hamilton, though.
