With the trade deadline at the forefront of everyone's mind, you have as much interest in reading about this game as I have in writing about it. And so, for the next 16 hours or so, the focus shifts to the roster, rather than the roster's results. Join me on this midsummer voyage of chicanery and cunning as we set sail for the future.

I completely forgot this game.

Like, every single detail.

So did I.

And i watched it the whole way through.

Get in line.

This recap is a total cop-out.

That last sentence is great, though.
I remember dirt and Dave Niehaus yelling about it
Also, I just realized that POTATOES! could be back real soon!
Hopefully it will be 2007 Potatoes, rather than 2008 Potatoes.
Potatoes is still recovering from an injury in Tacoma
I can't tell if the result of having Arthur Rhodes on the roster this year

was smart, or just lucky.

I'll say lucky.
Hmmm It's rare that I miss a game whether on TV, live, or radio. But I missed tonight's. Looks like I didn't miss much.

I was in Tacoma cheering Hyphen on…glad I DIDN’T miss that…he was awesome!!!

We have quite a few trade pieces...

Surely Lee will find something for them. Right….right!?

I have never been pleased with a trade deadline

The only exceptions were 2005 and 2004. ‘98 doesn’t count because I was 7.

Biggest Suckfest: Paul Nauert

...Ball 4 to Byrd was Strike 3….WHOOOPS!

You know what's better than this? Fucking water. Like four glasses of it. Fuck.
I just remembered yesterday that Erik Bedard plays for our team.

I was reminded while watching Adam Jones highlights on SportsCenter.

I read that last sentence as:

“Join me on this midsummer voyage of chicanery and cunning as we set sail for the failure.”

Set fail for the future!
I enjoy chicanery.
Yeah, it's good

but I’ve always been something of a thaumaturgy man, myself. Mix in some legerdemain, some subterfuge, maybe a hint of a feint? That’s living.
