or even with a winning record. I could support Cleveland in 1899 for worst sports city year ever

I forget who
The 1995 Braves’ rotation included Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz in their prime.

but that pitching staff was not particularly great.
Gomez - September 15, 2008 reply
they allowed the fewest runs in the league
122 ERA+, 3rd in Ks, fewest walks allowed, 2nd fewest HRs allowed, fewest runs allowed.
As noted their offense was awesome: 1st in all three slash stats, 1st in steals, first in homeruns, 1st in runs, 116 OPS+
That was, at worst, 110 win team over a full season.

BrianL - September 14, 2008
Well done Brobert
Graham MacAree - September 14, 2008
You rather look the same age as Calvin.
Kirsten Schlewitz - September 14, 2008
I was 18 in that picture and it was the opposite of what today feel likes
Robert - September 14, 2008
How precious
Dewey N - September 14, 2008
It looks like he's wearing a santa hat.
Kirsten Schlewitz - September 14, 2008
Thats cause I was wearing a santa hat
Robert - September 14, 2008
Even better.
Kirsten Schlewitz - September 15, 2008
He's still older than you
JI - September 14, 2008
WHY ARE YOU WEARING A JERRAMY STEVENS JERSEY?
Matthew - September 14, 2008
That dude is tall.
JI - September 14, 2008
And the ladies love him
because he’ll hit them if they don’t.
Gomez - September 14, 2008
Hit if they're lucky.
Aaron Campeau - September 14, 2008
I appreciate that this took time and effort
Dewey N - September 14, 2008
I think this is really funny actually.
Slurvey - September 14, 2008
God certainly seems to be shitting on Joe Cooper right now
Gomez - September 14, 2008
Worst year in sports for a city all-time?
Wilder. - September 14, 2008
1899 was pretty shitty for Cleveland.
JI - September 14, 2008
1995 might have been worse.
Matthew - September 14, 2008
Has to be 1995
needs to include the loss of a beloved professional sports franchise
seattlebruin - September 14, 2008
The lost their baseball team after the 1899 season.
JI - September 15, 2008
That's true, and they didn't have an NFL or NBA team in the playoffs either
or even with a winning record. I could support Cleveland in 1899 for worst sports city year ever
seattlebruin - September 15, 2008
The Mariners lost in the playoffs that year to some team
I forget who
Gomez - September 14, 2008
The Indians
Robert - September 14, 2008
Point taken
seattlebruin - September 14, 2008
The Indians lost to a vastly inferior Braves team in a game where David Justice did his stupid little thing
Robert - September 14, 2008
vastly inferior?
The 1995 Braves’ rotation included Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz in their prime.
vj - September 15, 2008
THe 95 Indians was one of the greatest teams of all time.
JI - September 15, 2008
They had a great lineup
but that pitching staff was not particularly great.
Gomez - September 15, 2008
If it wasn't the defense was
they allowed the fewest runs in the league

JI - September 15, 2008
If the Seahawks fail to make the playoffs, hands down.
BrianL - September 14, 2008
Almost anything with Calvin and Hobbes in it is an auto-win.
