You made my night, and if we’re talking about the Top 50 Mariner Moments next off-season (wait, that was USSM)… I think you’ve just topped the list. Even if we somehow lose this game. Doesn’t matter. We love you.
When I’m on to one team like holy on the pope, I know who’s worth his shit and who needs to take a break. The bullpen could blow this, and I’ll always know what Morrow did because I was on the edge of my seat for nearly every pitch.
How about a big “fuck you” to myself for sitting in my car next to the stadium tonight and deciding not to go, although I had no reason to not be there
Monday: LL is filled with 2-3 pages of pure GTE
Tuesday: LL is filled with 2-3 pages of pure GTE
Wednesday: LL is filled with 2-3 pages of pure GTE
Thursday: LL is filled with 2-3 pages of pure GTE
Friday: “Hello…… Anyone?”
Yes, you save 10 bucks that could have gone to somebody else because that somebody else knows a certain other somebody else who couldn't keep his mouth shut
I can't imagine what must be going through Morrow's head right now
In your first start in the majors to do something like that, at home, against the hated Yankees, striking out A-Rod no less. Must be an incredible feeling, and he totally deserves it.
Naw it's 100 pitches when he hasn't thrown more than 82 this year
Niehaus said it on the radio: getting through the 8th might have created a dilemma, because Riggleman would have had to seriously considered pulling him for the 9th.
Given his current stamina threshold, this was actually a bad time to throw one, in terms of his being able to finish it. If he threw one 3-4 starts from now, he probably doesn’t run out of gas in the 8th, maybe not even the 9th.
That’s splitting hairs for fun, though. I’m certainly not complaining about tonight’s game. No way.
It just became clear that he’d run out of gas in the 8th before he gave up the hit. His velocity on his fastball was down about 3 mph and he was starting to hang his breaking stuff. That’s why the hit didn’t really upset me, because it was sorta inevitable when he was completely out of juice, and it’s totally fine that he was after throwing way more pitches than he’s ever thrown.
god speed brandon

OlSalty - September 5, 2008
Thomas in game over
:(
Gomez - September 5, 2008
What a scary looking rotation for next year
Explosive doesn’t begin to describe what we saw today.
Now if we could only fix our offense and defense.
marinator - September 5, 2008
That was fucking amazing Morrow
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
I am at the game, and I can't believe what I just saw.
Mr. Morrow just made a hell of a lot of people very, very happy.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Felix
Bedard- Morrow- Silva-Hyphen
CKel - September 5, 2008
If only Washburn was gone.
vkut79 - September 5, 2008
Washburn will take Hyphen's spot if he's still here
and that really, really sucks.
marinator - September 5, 2008
Washburn for Tommy John Surgery!
IcebreakerX - September 5, 2008
I actually forgot Washburn was still here.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Fuck they better not keep him in the rotation at RRS's expense
Gomez - September 5, 2008
fuck you Giradi for pinch hitting for Molina
MFAN - September 5, 2008
Dear Brandon
You made my night, and if we’re talking about the Top 50 Mariner Moments next off-season (wait, that was USSM)… I think you’ve just topped the list. Even if we somehow lose this game. Doesn’t matter. We love you.
AtomicGarden - September 5, 2008
Also, late.
AtomicGarden - September 5, 2008
Felix Hernandez Hit a Grand Slam off of Johan Santana.
Morrow would of had to have completed the No-No to top that.
But it’d better be #2.
Goose - September 5, 2008
I created a facebook app just for that
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Uh that was here
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Nice.
Uh… excellent work on those as well.
AtomicGarden - September 5, 2008
Suck it Yankee fans. You'll be doing the same thing we're doing come October.
Goose - September 5, 2008
Rebuilding?
JI - September 5, 2008
Ah yes pinch running with Pudge
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Betancourt ran down a little infield pop-up
does it surprise anyone else?
Two Rs and Two Ls - September 5, 2008
Betancourt has been making good plays this game.
joof - September 5, 2008
I can't believe he actually got to that ball behind 2nd
He hasn’t done that in a loooong time.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
That actually did surprise me
Gomez - September 5, 2008
Please get Brandon the Win now.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
LEAVE PUTZ SITTING
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
BRING IN KOUFAX
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Tony S - September 5, 2008
Justin Thomas looks like Grape Ape
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
or maybe I just have an odd primate obsession
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
I think you are calling white people monkeys so you look like less of a Klansman
JI - September 5, 2008
Honestly I can't bring myself to be that mad at the Yankees right now.
I don’t know why.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
There's nothing to be mad about
They got a hit. In 7.2 innings.
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
This season seems to have turned me into a more rational fan.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
Hello!
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Not the same, I wasn't at this game in person
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
fuck you
Robert - September 5, 2008
I was at the game..
when Ben broke Wang’s perfect game. Karma? =(
CKel - September 5, 2008
And Morrow had no business still being in the game when they got that hit
That was pretty much asking the impossible for him to still be effective at that pitch count.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
You know
We drafted this, yet we spent $115.5 Million in contracts on stuff that’s worst that this….
ThundaPC - September 5, 2008
Just think about next year when STRASBURG is our set up man!
marinator - September 5, 2008
GOD
JI - September 5, 2008
ITS LIKE 20 DEAD MEMES IN ONE
JI - September 5, 2008
You mean the ones you ran into the ground single handedly?
Those dead memes, you insubordinate boob!?
marinator - September 5, 2008
Subthread closed before it gets even unfunnier
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I honestly don't understand that comment.
JI - September 5, 2008
Hey you're not supposed to comment under closed subthreads
marinator - September 5, 2008
You are a living dead meme
Nick S - September 5, 2008
You mean whoever we pick after Strasburg
Gomez - September 5, 2008
I'm not sure what part of this comment is supposed to be funny
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
makes you wonder
Had Morrow replaced Sliva or Tits at the start of the year, how many more wins we could of had?
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
Not enough to matter.
marinator - September 5, 2008
True
but maybe enough to make things more interesting, we could have been fighting for .500 instead of fighting for Strasburg
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
Yeah, but....
Bavasi might still be around
marinator - September 5, 2008
oh god
your right
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
Probably a demoralized kid pitcher with a bad elbow.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
We also did everything we could to sabotage his career.
JI - September 5, 2008
Morrow is cute.
zeuswsu - September 5, 2008
Leave it to Beltre to get a hit from that
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
OH GOD JJ
IF YOU BLOW THIS I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
watch: 3 consecutive homers
he’ll fuckin blow it
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Come on fuckface
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
douche
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Oh Fuck Beltre's hurt.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
Wait what??!!
Nothing on the radio!!
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
Beltre limping after that slide.
He slides like he swings.
Faux - September 5, 2008
It's ok man we have Tui
Nick S - September 5, 2008
Wow, the game is so over for me.
Wins are so fucking useless, I’m kinda done after Morrow’s performance. Hell of a game for him.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
Morrow deserves the win
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Morrow deserves a trophy
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Someone's getting a Putz shaving cream facial today.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
gay
JI - September 5, 2008
Putz better get his shit together.
He couldn’t carry Morrow’s jock right now. I’m hoping Putz quiets down for a bit. Gotta be the man before you act like the man.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
And an open letter
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Dear Morrow, Please have sex with me. <3 Jeff.
HARRYP09 - September 5, 2008
Dear Brandon,
Sex me.
Yours,

Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I won't deny feeling this way.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Im still trying to clean my computer monitor up.
Slica - September 5, 2008
ewwww. One less in line! Awesome!!
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
He does.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Ah, it's the performance not the win.
When I’m on to one team like holy on the pope, I know who’s worth his shit and who needs to take a break. The bullpen could blow this, and I’ll always know what Morrow did because I was on the edge of my seat for nearly every pitch.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
Wins matter to pitchers though
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
True this.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
Hey the game's ripe for yet another blown save by one of the worst closers in the majors today
marinator - September 5, 2008
Miguel Batista?
joof - September 5, 2008
No
Ryan Franklin
marinator - September 5, 2008
Guardado
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Uh oh.
No no no no no no no….. I almost can’t watch….
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
JI - September 5, 2008
Putz in game over.
Now is that in a good or bad way?
CKel - September 5, 2008
Foreshadowing.
Slica - September 5, 2008
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I'm angry I didn't think of this.
JI - September 5, 2008
Rec'd
HARRYP09 - September 5, 2008
...and now Adrian's playing third.
While hurt.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
Oh great, here we go.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
And it begins.
Goose - September 5, 2008
Oh great.
Not tonight, JJ. Don’t blow it tonight.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
This is how Riggleman does defensive subs?
HARRYP09 - September 5, 2008
Do I laugh?
Or cry?
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
c'mon JJ
MFAN - September 5, 2008
CORCORAN CORCORAN CORCORAN CORCORAN
OlSalty - September 5, 2008

tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
At a certain point
don’t you get your entrance music put on hold when you really suck?
JI - September 5, 2008
Hoffman didn't
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Derek Jeter-
One hit closer to the Babe. So is every other Yankee that hit today.
CKel - September 5, 2008
LL is going to turn on JJ so quick.....
marinator - September 5, 2008
Hey guys
Did you know Morrow had a no hitter going?
Mariner John - September 5, 2008
I think I missed that.
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Sims mentioned something about this
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I don't like feeling uneasy with JJ on the mound.
I can’t help it though.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Yeah, it's to bad we don't have someone like, say, Morrow in the pen.
Two Rs and Two Ls - September 5, 2008
That was textbook indifference
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
This team is professionally indifferent
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I still care.
JI - September 5, 2008
I wonder if Jose Guillen would do his megatakeout slides on indifference
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I always enjoyed those.
Goose - September 5, 2008
That man is only acceptable in a sporting context
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Doesn't matter unless he cuts a bitch
JI - September 5, 2008
Is there a time he doesn't do them?
Mariner John - September 5, 2008
He'd run through the second baseman on his way there
Kind of like Nelson when he and Bart played Football
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
Wow Kenji actually framed a pitch and it worked
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
Lowe and Dickey?!?!
How about someone better please.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
Morrow was doing pretty good as the closer
JI - September 5, 2008
Damn you Jeff Sullivan
Damn you straight to hell
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
BOXED
Religion has no place in baseball.
marinator - September 5, 2008
GOD
JI - September 5, 2008
Stop it!
marinator - September 5, 2008
He needs a passport to Canada to get to Ottawa...
Slica - September 5, 2008
No he needs to stop ruining surprises
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Fewer than six people get this
not game thread appropriate
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I count 7
Its good to go
Robert - September 5, 2008
SIL-VA SIL-VA
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Jeez almost, JJ
Real close there
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
That was a good pitch
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Now *this* feeling is more familiar.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
I'm scared
krb - September 5, 2008
Wlad looks good out there
marc w - September 5, 2008
He looked uneasy on that earlier fly ball, but that was a good route
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Yeah he kinda caught that one with his wrist
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
Imagine if he starts hitting
CKel - September 5, 2008
Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck I have a bad feeling about this
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
That was a lot of ground there.
joof - September 5, 2008
So who's booing him? The Mariner fans or the Yankee fans?
Goose - September 5, 2008
Mariner fans, at least where I'm sitting
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Idiots.
Goose - September 5, 2008
Wlad covered 3x more ground than Raul to get to that
krb - September 5, 2008
what are arod's numbers against JJ?
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Meaningless
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
well, NOW they are
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
Always are.
Teej - September 5, 2008
YUNI!!.......?
wha…?
PShwa - September 5, 2008
Did Yuni lose a piano this week?
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
He looks a bit slimmer
JI - September 5, 2008
That wasn't as impressive as the first inning. He was playing close to the middle.
Goose - September 5, 2008
And I thought that was the 3rd out.
Oops.
Two Rs and Two Ls - September 5, 2008
YAY! YUNI'S PLAYING LIKE IT'S 2006!
joof - September 5, 2008
When did 2005 Yuni show up?
marc w - September 5, 2008
Mid-2005
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Clever
JI - September 5, 2008
I laughed
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Wrong! January 1.
marc w - September 5, 2008
I assumed you meant in Seattle
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
If only the kidnappers had broken his legs...
JI - September 5, 2008
He looks like fat Don MAttingly
JI - September 5, 2008
Don Frye?
Two Rs and Two Ls - September 5, 2008
He needs to go find Chuck Armstrong
and treat him like Frye treated Takayama
Gomez - September 5, 2008
what the fuck?? Yuni made the play
MFAN - September 5, 2008
And while I'm thinking about it
How about a big “fuck you” to myself for sitting in my car next to the stadium tonight and deciding not to go, although I had no reason to not be there
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
Except that I was tired
Jesus I suck
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
This much disappointment in a season I feel ya'.
I haven’t been in the 7th level of hell this year, but I can see it from where I’m standing.
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
I blame you, because your applause could have helped Morrow get Betemit out.
joof - September 5, 2008
I blame myself
I cam home and put on some pajama-like clothes, cracked a beer, and laid on my couch with the laptop on the table next to me. My life is very boring
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
It will be when you have to repeat that routine for every Morrow start.
Sucks to be you don’t it?
dpseadv - September 5, 2008
You know I'm going to
That’s the funny thing. Oh well. If it allows me to have that much joy, I’ll wear my pajamas to the games
tootthekazoo - September 5, 2008
yuni doing stuff like that
that’s good right?
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
Eh.
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
When did 2005 JJ show up?
CKel - September 5, 2008
same time 2005 yuni did?
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
So this game is actually just a recording from 3 years ago.
CKel - September 5, 2008
When it was college pitcher gets to start night?
joof - September 5, 2008
And recent HS grads get-to-play-IF day.
marc w - September 5, 2008
So, Morrow/RRS/Felix/Bedard/Fatty 09!!!
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
That is so hot
joof - September 5, 2008
Fat jokes are better when you don't even try
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Yes please
royalcurve - September 5, 2008

zeuswsu - September 5, 2008

Nick S - September 5, 2008
That was thoroughly enjoyable.
Goose - September 5, 2008
Fitting end
What a game.
marinator - September 5, 2008
They still use Kernkraft 400?
IcebreakerX - September 5, 2008
So, best game of the season?
joof - September 5, 2008
I can't think of anything that comes close.
marinator - September 5, 2008
Beltre!!
My nervousness started to evaporate after that swinging strike.
Crystal for DH - September 5, 2008
WOOOOOOOOOO
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
This game melted my icy heart.
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Yay!
Go buy yourself a beer. You deserve it.
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
It cooled my hot heart.
JI - September 5, 2008
I missed the slightly less jaded Jeff.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
I think I speak for all of us when I say I'm glad you got over the total eclipse of your LaHairt
Turn around, bright eyes
Lahairvery now and then you’ll fall apart
But we need you more than ever :)
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Box please
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
You're lucky
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
I believe you missed a line.
joof - September 5, 2008
You couldn't wait?
JI - September 5, 2008
It's over now because somebody likes to ruin things
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
So I save 10 bucks?
JI - September 5, 2008
Yes, you save 10 bucks that could have gone to somebody else because that somebody else knows a certain other somebody else who couldn't keep his mouth shut
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Oh god this is like a sorority
Dewey N - September 5, 2008
Blame the old lady.
JI - September 5, 2008
Hot damn
JI - September 5, 2008
Need you Morrow than ever
Gomez - September 5, 2008
RIP
Brandon Morrow’s no-hitter.
“A thing of beauty amidst a season of fail”
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
I can't wait to get home
and watch that on tv.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
Did you Tivo the HD version of the game?
Susheel Ramasahayam - September 5, 2008
Sorry, no. Just the regular version.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
GAME OVER!
ThundaPC - September 5, 2008
All I can say thank you Morrow!!!
For the first time in a long time I can’t wait for the recap.
Happybelly - September 5, 2008
Man that was awesome.
Brandon Morrow ladies and gentlemen. Wow.
Goose - September 5, 2008
Thank you, Morrow.
Susheel Ramasahayam - September 5, 2008
I can't imagine what must be going through Morrow's head right now
In your first start in the majors to do something like that, at home, against the hated Yankees, striking out A-Rod no less. Must be an incredible feeling, and he totally deserves it.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
thank you Brandon Morrow
1st time since probably last august that the Mariners had me on the edge of my seat, just awesome.
MFAN - September 5, 2008
People are going to blame Ichiro and Sims for the lost no hitter
but fuck ’em. What a game!
BrianL - September 5, 2008
And once more:
Crystal for DH - September 5, 2008
dave sims
no one loves him.
.Taylor - September 5, 2008
I do
MFAN - September 5, 2008
So do I.
royalcurve - September 5, 2008
We all love him
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Everyone knows he's a big Yankees fan
This is no secret. It’s sabotage.
marinator - September 5, 2008
He's actually a mets fan
Robert - September 6, 2008
I like him a lot.
OlSalty - September 5, 2008
Dave Sims is fine
People are jinxmongers. Throwing a no-no is really, really hard.
Gomez - September 5, 2008
Ask the Mets
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
Or the Brewers
ThundaPC - September 5, 2008
No kidding
7461 days and counting
Gomez - September 5, 2008
Holy Crap.
That is all.
batura - September 5, 2008
That is sweet site.
Too bad it will come to an abrupt end some day.
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
We'd all like to think it'll be Johan or John Maine
It’ll probably be someone totally unexpected like Ryan Feierabend after we release him.
Gomez - September 5, 2008
It will be Niese so it to hypes him even more.
He looks exactly like Oliver Perez on the mound, but without the fastball.
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
Hey, did you know that Niese was born on the say day the Mets won the 86 World Series?
I do because I was at the bar one night and ESPN told me 12 times.
Gomez - September 5, 2008
I was puking and shitting out the hype for 2 days after they covered that game.
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
Wrong
JI - September 5, 2008
Dave Sims is awesome.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
no one = you
Teej - September 5, 2008
Sims is our best broadcaster
Robert - September 6, 2008
Did anyone Tivo this in HD?
Susheel Ramasahayam - September 5, 2008
No. Its difficult with Comcast.
Since the listings are Mojo listings that get overridden.
batura - September 5, 2008
FUCK Comcast.
Susheel Ramasahayam - September 5, 2008
Let it be noted that I'm not the one who posted this.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
For once.
Faux - September 6, 2008
Awesome, 2 out of every 5 games I will now watch a Mariner game in it's entirety
Instead of 1.
marinator - September 5, 2008
I sure haven't listened to much ACDC this year
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
ESPN news spells it Brendan Morrow
for some reason this makes Morrow’s start more awesome
MFAN - September 5, 2008
Pretty incredible when an NHL winger can do this to the Yankees
Jeff Sullivan - September 5, 2008
and they just changed it to Brandon
ESPN must hate hockey
MFAN - September 5, 2008
It's my fault.
I called my dad in the 8th.
:(
BUT FUCK YEAH BRANDON MORROW!
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
No reason to be upset as far as I'm concerned.
Because good God that made the future a little brighter after the Armstrong shitstorm today.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
I always feel better when I can include my dad in some history.
I never bonded so much with my dad August-October in ’95.
I can probably say since May of that year, as we were sitting down the right field line and watched Griffey go into the wall.
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
Ummm...
That line about bonding came out wrong. We bonded the most ever between those times.
Wilder. - September 5, 2008
Naw it's 100 pitches when he hasn't thrown more than 82 this year
Niehaus said it on the radio: getting through the 8th might have created a dilemma, because Riggleman would have had to seriously considered pulling him for the 9th.
Gomez - September 5, 2008
There comes a point where rational thought isn't rational.
I’d risk injury to Morrow 100 times out a 100 if it meant the no hitter.
Goose - September 5, 2008
This
As smart as it is, taking him out would have pure madness
IceStormV1 - September 5, 2008
Yeah. FWIW I don't think he was ever at risk of getting hurt
When you’re tired, you struggle just to make pitches, let alone locate them… and someone was probably going to get a hit eventually.
Gomez - September 5, 2008
That curve he threw was devoid of fangs.
Susheel Ramasahayam - September 5, 2008
Yeah. When a pitcher has a no-no or a perfect game going, I'm only taking him out in 3 circumstances.
1. The pitcher gets injured and is physically unable to continue.
2. The pitcher gives up a base hit.
3. The pitcher himself asks me to pull him.
Otherwise, he is finishing the game, I don’t care if he has to throw 170 pitches to do it.

What's funny
Given his current stamina threshold, this was actually a bad time to throw one, in terms of his being able to finish it. If he threw one 3-4 starts from now, he probably doesn’t run out of gas in the 8th, maybe not even the 9th.
That’s splitting hairs for fun, though. I’m certainly not complaining about tonight’s game. No way.

I wasn't worried about injury so much
It just became clear that he’d run out of gas in the 8th before he gave up the hit. His velocity on his fastball was down about 3 mph and he was starting to hang his breaking stuff. That’s why the hit didn’t really upset me, because it was sorta inevitable when he was completely out of juice, and it’s totally fine that he was after throwing way more pitches than he’s ever thrown.

Radio sucks.
I’m firing up the replay on MLB.tv right now. Gotta see this.

You really start sensing it after he goes through the lineup the first time.
When a pitcher has his stuff working that good early on, you know something special is going to happen.
Good on you to watch the replay. It’s like me watching April 11, 2007 six or seven times already.

I've watched that three or four times.
So awesome.

Guess the Mariners were right about how long the transition would take.
SSS, though.
Mariner John - September 5, 2008
I don't expect this kind of performance his next start
but damn today was encouraging.
BrianL - September 5, 2008
He'll probably still have some struggles to finish out the year
But this was a hell of an introduction.

Enough to earn a spot in the rotation from now until forever.
No more bullpen for Morrow.

A----MEN!

Lost no-hitter aside
I don’t think this could have gone any better.
