RRS!
Coach Owens - October 3, 2009
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!
Oi! Oi! Oi!
Spoomeister - October 3, 2009
We need to start that.
msb - October 3, 2009
What does "Oi" really mean?
It sounds like Oink
Ef the yankees - October 3, 2009
I think it means 'hey.''
JMKaustin - October 3, 2009
.
Aaron Campeau - October 4, 2009
TITS, motherfuckers.
That little celebration was probably my favorite moment of the past, I don’t know, two months? Other players are better, but it’s so fun to see a much-maligned guy get the rare opportunity and just nail it. Ever for just one night.
Teej - October 3, 2009
Agreed. That was fun to see.
Especially since it was Batista, who has been useful unlike Silva.
Sinking Away - October 3, 2009
If he comes back, I'll light several things on fire, but good for him.
Teej - October 3, 2009
I don't want him back, not ever.
Sinking Away - October 3, 2009
*Even
Teej - October 3, 2009
It's like a montage at the end of an 80s teen movie, saying what the cast is doing in 20 years, and Batista is the dork who turned out alright.
Spoomeister - October 3, 2009
Batista ended up marrying that lifeguard,
Silva never returned from ’Nam
And Felix is always amazing.
Slurvey - October 3, 2009
That hits Silva on the head.
Sinking Away - October 3, 2009
Excellent.
Drayer with a story on the postgame— and she turned the mike over to Chef Jeremy, who has been with the team since the Kingdome days, and has been a big Mariners fan for much longer than that.
According to Jeremy, he has been trying to get a Griffey HR ball for ever, at the Dome, at the Safe … he told Griffey that, and said he was going to keep trying, so during games he has taken to sitting out with the grounds crew.
Just before the HR tonight, the crew all left, and he was sitting out there by himself, when Jr hit the ball. He says he ran along the wall, got the ball, ignored all the fans above trying to get him to throw them the ball, and just took off running … he was chased by security for part of the run, until they realized it was just Chef J, ran along to the clubhouse, found Jr who was in the video room with Carl and said “got it”.
Junior didn’t believe it was number 630, but Jeremy said, why would I run all this way? and then handed him the ball.
msb - October 3, 2009
Wow...
That’s a really great story, fitting for Jr
BQueezy - October 3, 2009
Yes, great story. Thanks for that.
Sinking Away - October 3, 2009
That is wonderful.

Anyone want my tickets for tomorrow's game?
Section 134 Row 21 Seats 1-2. Great seats, last game of the season, should be fun. 1:10pm start. Asking $60 OBO, face value is $80 which is the season ticket price, which is still less than what you will pay at the box office for those seats. I have an Ultimate game at noon and can’t go. If you want ’em get in touch with me
(in case this is against site rules I apologize…couldn’t remember anything about it though).
appleshampoo - October 3, 2009
Ultimate > Griffey!
?
Jeff Sullivan - October 3, 2009
Come on it has the word ultimate right in the title
Dewey N - October 3, 2009
I'm captaining the team so it would be tough for me to justify missing it
Besides, I’ve been to 37 games this season, I’m okay with missing the last one.
appleshampoo - October 3, 2009
Tough to justify?
It might be a HoF Seattle legend’s last game.
Wilder. - October 4, 2009
I respect your choice, but were I in your position, I'd call a teammate, say "Swine flu...", hang up, and then go to the fucking game.
This is, on reflection, probably why you are captain of a sports team and I am not.
Spoomeister - October 4, 2009
It's an image so the autospammers can't find it?
Slurvey - October 3, 2009
that's the idea
No clue if they are smart enough to figure those out yet.
appleshampoo - October 3, 2009
Let's hope not...
Slurvey - October 3, 2009
As a Mariner fan
it feels like a magical season,
And then Sunshine Lollipops..
