Chone Figgins has been a regular player every year since 2004. Presented below is his year-to-year baserunning value, excluding stolen bases, since Fangraphs' WAR equation already takes those into account.
| Year | Runs |
| 2004 | 1.5 |
| 2005 | 10.0 |
| 2006 | 9.1 |
| 2007 | 5.0 |
| 2008 | 6.4 |
| 2009 | 7.3 |
Six years, 39.1 "hidden" runs added by advancing on grounders, fly balls, or hits. I don't know why this slipped my mind earlier, but you can pretty safely go ahead and add an extra five runs or so to your Figgins forecasts going forward.
He is going to be so annoying.

Would this make us more or less likely to sign another Type A since the draft pick we lose is considered less relevant?

Well, less money but less penalty.
Probably depends on the type A.

Holliday!

Wak ball is going to be so much more annoying.

Actually, I think it's kind of cool that now there will be no temptation for him to put Wilson in the two hole.

4 bunts equals a run!

I really hope we see this atleast once next year.
If our lineup’s 8-9-1-2 ends up being Gutz-Saunders-Ichiro-Figgins I think it could very well work.

Guti batting 8th?
Uh…
Wilder. - December 4, 2009
Yeah, probebly not the best idea. I know.
IceStormV1 - December 4, 2009
So why do you want to see it?
njd.aitken - December 4, 2009
That portion of the order is more likely to be ...
Catcher de jour/Wilson/Figgins/Ichiro

I'm so in love already
I never imagined we’d spend the dollars to net Figgins, but I also thought he’d be a little pricier. Very nice. Now I hope we can somehow net Harden and Branyan and trade for Doumit. What a fun first signing for our off-season!

I am starting to like him already!
He might scratched my Yuni itch for the time being.

Innapropriate.

It is true the Mariners lose their first round pick
But, that may mean that they use more money on the international market or there is always a player who falls because of injury or signability. I hate losing the pick, but there are workarounds.

Is he faster than Ichiro?
Smegmalicious - December 4, 2009 via mobile
Figgins wins a foot race.
Go figure. It’s what they were made to do.
JLProck - December 4, 2009
Ichiro
Who needs to be THAT fast when you can teleport in front of the ball, or teleport to first base.

And the plot Figgins

When watching with Mariners play the Angels, two things always pissed me off.
One was Vlad Guererro always homering off us.
And the second was that we freaking could not ever get Chone Figgins out, and he just wore out our pitchers.
Now WE have that guy!!!
ARock - December 4, 2009
Yep that historically has been pretty much my thoughts as well.
I feel that small people should always fail, and when they don’t it pisses me off.
