Make your best guesses as to the playing time that each Mariner will receive this year. It's all very simple - it shouldn't take you more than a couple minutes - and it'll be a big help. His explanation:
Your results will be used as an input to the Marcel The Monkey Forecasting System (aka The Marcels), which is going to compete with all the bigshots out there in another project I am conducting. Who knows more about whether a pitcher will be in the starting rotation or the bullpen: an algorithm or a true fan? Who knows more about the number of games an injured ARod will play in 2009: an algorithm or a Yankees fan? There are certain human observation elements that are critical for forecasting. That’s where you can come in, and why you are here. Thanks for helping.
Do it now.

Welcome to yesterday!

Wait, if we're nice to him does that mean the Mariners get the "real" data?

Going through the reliever section was difficult.
I have no idea who some of those guys are and what the Mariners may think of them. I like the format Tango put together, though.

Sweet.
The format is pretty easy. I usually shy away from projections because I usually don’t know off hand what is regular for what position but the quick descriptions helped out a lot.

Needs more Mike Sweeney
Matthew - March 27, 2009
Skipped the relievers because I'm not well enough informed.
I’m in the minority for Beltre’s projection:
I picked 90-129, figuring his odds of being either injured or traded are pretty high. Also gave Sweeney zero for not making the cut, and zero for Clement being traded.

I don't think that's what he's going for
there’s no reason to believe that Clement won’t be in the majors this year.
JI - March 27, 2009
Unless I'm mistaken I believe he's looking for total playing time
and not just playing time for the Mariners.
Jeff Sullivan - March 27, 2009
That's how I voted.
Which is why the relievers were so difficult. I voted 0-games for the ones I didn’t know anything about. In hindsight, I should have left them blank.
Wilder. - March 27, 2009
Well, shit.
lemonverbena - March 27, 2009
I see Corco voted.
Reegie Corona has one 150+ games vote.
BrianL - March 27, 2009
That really wasn't me
I haven’t sat down to look at it yet
Corco - March 27, 2009
I didn't see an option for Strasburg
seattlebruin - March 27, 2009
That's because Strasburg is a Washington National
Corco - March 27, 2009
Thanks for the support guys
tangotiger - March 28, 2009
The Mariners have 90 more entries than second place
