Hrm

I did 4 of those, game on the radio. It still sucked, but I got stuff done, powered by anger.

I'm definately in the one project field.

But it’s the start of Islander!!!!!!! So no studying for me thanks

Definately

Definitely doesn’t look spelled right. Beer darts is a horrible, horrible game

Yea, that game was a stinker.
Why are the team names always reversed on these?
Because fangraphs expects the Mariners to lose

except when the lose

Nevermind, FG puts home team on top.
Bad game, Good series.
and miss out on the possibility of a great comeback?

Teams probably do this once or twice a year. You don’t want to miss one of the greatest games of the season because it looked bad early.

I left at 4-0 to go hang out in the ID and get out in the sun.

Nothing could possibly convince me that I made the wrong decision.

If you had gotten run over by a car I am sure you would be singing a different tune.
Washburn on striking people out.
“That was a fluke,‘’ he said. "I had nine in one game. There was three lefties in that lineup and I had nine (strikeouts) in that game. And I think six of them were against lefties. So, the strikeouts are a fluke. That’s nothing. I’m a pitch-to-contact guy and today, the contact was more solid than I would like. And that’s just because I was up in the zone and missing in the middle of the plate.

“I’m not a strikeout guy. I haven’t been since minor league ball when I quit trying to do it.’’
Translation: "I gave up giving a shit and trying to be a good pitcher when I was in the minors"
I'm not going to get angry at a guy for knowing his limitations.

After watching Felix underachieve because he’s obsessed with strking people out with his fastball, it’s sort of refreshing to hear someone be honest in their appraisal of themselves.

Actually, you're completely right.

I was just looking to take a shot at Washburn. He probably could’ve said “Ichiro, Felix, and Bedard are the Mariners’ best players. They are awesome.” and I still would’ve made some snide comment.

This is pretty amazing to me.

This looks like a piece of joke dialogue we might do about Washburn being completely honest instead of blaming his catcher or something. Quite humble of him to just say “that was a fluke.”

Other, better, things to do today:

Go to work for the whole day :(

Sorry you couldn't make it.

Actually, I take that back. I’m happy for you!

Seriously

bluemax wins the day.

Going to a baseball game is fun!
8-0
At least we didn't have to watch the first two!
innings!
Thanks Jen!
Some people just don't know how lucky they are to live within a stone's throw of a MLB team from each league.
The Padres are only in one of the two leagues
Is Anaheim an overnight trip?
No part of my watching the Mariners lose 8-0 was lucky
I guess that depends on one's views on what luck actually is.
If that was me being lucky then I wish I were never lucky
Some might view the train not derailing and killing you as being lucky.

That is all I that I mean.

I bet this wasn't as bad as the Batista game from last July.

That was an overnight trip

But those were the best two!

We almost scored and Washburn didn’t totally suck in one of them!

Some LL'ers have sat through 9 innings of worse

The Cleveland game was much worse
Puppies are stupid.
Go fuck something political
Well that game sucked.

But on the bright side, Justin Upton is starting to get hot and hit quite possibly the quickest home run to go from the plate to the seats.

That homerun call was awesome.
