I hear Jason Schmidt will return to the open market.
Sometimes I think Bavasi’s “negoeting” skills saved the Mariners from a lot of trouble. But then again, if the Mariners got Kuroda, they would’ve had a upper/middle rotation starter rather than a $48 million dollar piece of shit
Tim Lincecum would be our closer and Morrow would be a home town hero down in the Bay Area and on the cover of MLB 2k9 and have limitless endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, etc.
It seems like it’ll be a long time before we reach the post season again. With the Angels being an attractive place for FA’s, A’s ability to contend with so little resources, and the Rangers army of top prospects…It just seems like we’re fighting an uphill battle to not finish last the next 5 years. Ichiro will soon be leaving, Felix too, Bedard and Beltre already have one foot out the door and our better young players are being mismanaged in a way that they don’t make the impact we had hoped they would. Please someone throw me a line, I’m drowning.
Jakubauskas is a reliever?
Corco - April 5, 2009
No he's just a shitty shitty starter
Graham MacAree - April 5, 2009
Yeah but he's in the bullpen right now
Why ever would we move him out?
Corco - April 5, 2009
Because fuck you that's why
Also he’s long relief
OlSalty - April 5, 2009
Nope
…Its all part of the plan.
Mariner Melee - April 5, 2009
What's amiss is the numbering
SP #3 – Ryan Feierbend
SP #4 – Chris Jakubauskas
That Baek trade last year is looking pretty foolish right now.
rickpo - April 5, 2009
Thought Aumont
was supposed to be a starter
sergey606 - April 5, 2009
Scroll down a few posts.
And hide all sharp devices before doing so.
Teej - April 5, 2009
We could always buy another starter!
JI - April 5, 2009
Yes, because our track record with that has been so great.

I don’t know how I flubbed that.

My question for Zduriencik
Are you SURE that Felix wouldn’t be better served in a setup role? Think it through, big Z, before you waste the rest of his service time in the roto.
Brett Perryman - April 5, 2009
Does it even matter, Felix will be gone in a couple years as this organization somehow
allowed him to get this far into his service time without extending him with a nice long term and affordable deal.
Rudy4three - April 5, 2009
You can't force someone to take an extension.
msb - April 5, 2009
2010's rotation will be pleasant as well
Rudy4three - April 5, 2009
Yes, "Tim Lincecum" is misspelled as "Brandon Morrow"
lemonverbena - April 5, 2009
In bizarro universe.

One of the headlines on the Seattle Times webpage is "Five children slain in Graham-area home"
Somebody took the Aumont news hard
Nick S - April 5, 2009
I wish there were children around to snap into little pieces
Graham MacAree - April 5, 2009
Maybe you can rain hell in the Lusty Lady.

I have this nightmare that Jack is going to tear off his shirt revealing an A's Jersey underneath.
And then Billy Bean and David Forst come out and they all hi five and Bean announces a new stadium deal worth billions and they all cackle.

Unless you are talking about the former gay baseball player.

Him too.

I fail at reply.
