We weren't saved by a sassy black man and a neurotic jew
Poochie - May 16, 2009
Or even a clean-cut type war hero.

I missed the game tonight.
Went to a Taylor Swift concert with my girlfriend. Yes, I am ready to be shit on for admitting it.
Anyway, it looked like an incredible game! It always makes me smile to see the long faces of the Red Sox “fans” after they lose.
Fin - May 16, 2009
Shit is incoming! Prepare!
Seattle Rodiners - May 16, 2009
Let me put it this way.
If this was required to avoid sleeping on the couch for the indefinite future, necessity IS a legal defense.
eponymous_coward - May 16, 2009
In Jakubauskas' last two starts he has thrown 208 pitches and missed four bats
Jeff Sullivan - May 16, 2009
Tonight Jakubauskas threw 105 pitches and missed four bats
Jeff Sullivan - May 16, 2009
He doesn't miss bats.
Not the best sign in the world, but it doesn’t mean he can’t be effective. Honestly he looked pretty good this game, all things considered. Not fantastic, but not terrible.
Fortunately Ichiro was fantastic. And he was a pitcher before he was drafted! Maybe we should put him into the rotation!
Orion Moony - May 16, 2009
Ryan Franklin and HoRam had games where they looked "effective".
That doesn’t mean he doesn’t belong on a MLB roster, but if WFB had a pitching counterpart, it would be the Ostrich- we’re talking 25th man/emergency starter/bullpen long guy sort of stuff
eponymous_coward - May 16, 2009
Whoa whoa there
when did Ho Ram look effective?
Bearskin Rugburn - May 16, 2009
Against us a few about a week ago.
JLProck - May 16, 2009
vs. The Yankees
ThundaPC - May 16, 2009
He's a wiley Ostrich that's for sure
Willie Mays Haze - May 16, 2009
That curveball was baffling people later on, though. That's a nice thing to see.
abender20 - May 16, 2009
Happy Jakubauskasritch!
Goose - May 16, 2009
Angry Jakubaustrich!
ThundaPC - May 16, 2009
Now those are some badass words.
Seattle Rodiners - May 16, 2009
That guy's awesome
gregrabble - May 16, 2009
When they retaliated over NY the humans were squashed like mere bugs because the riddle of their shields had yet to been solved.
Robert - May 16, 2009
Our 2-4 hitters tonight
0-13, 1 BB
Thank god for Ichiro!, Gutz, Branyan, and Kenji to a lesser extent.
Also, it seems like Branyan has proven he can hit LHP. Shouldn’t he be our cleanup hitter like, all the time now?
appleshampoo - May 16, 2009
Two things:
1.HAHA! Suck it Cancer Boy!
2.Why the fuck was Larry the Cable Guy at Safeco Field? Why? Why? Why?
Goose - May 16, 2009
He took off his shirt during BP and people started to upchuck.
And what is that fatass doing at Safeco?! Seattle is probably not your target market, dude. Try some trashy team like Houston or Atlanta.
Seattle Rodiners - May 16, 2009
Blame Bob Rivers
bluemax - May 16, 2009
So has Ichiro ever had a multi-homer game before?
I certainly don’t remember one.
DAMellen - May 16, 2009
He has apparently had four of them
Jeff Sullivan - May 16, 2009
Wow, I don't seem to remember any before this game either.
Weird.
Goose - May 16, 2009
If I recall correctly the broadcast says his last one was in 2005
Here you go. Two homers off CC!
Jeff Sullivan - May 16, 2009
He had one in Texas in 2001 right after the ASB
Graham MacAree - May 16, 2009
I am loving the little Mariner Lasers.
Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew!
Seattle Rodiners - May 16, 2009
LOVE today's chart!
section331 - May 16, 2009
Yep. Awesome pic, I'm still laughing
Zack - May 16, 2009
Unbelievable that he did it twice.
That probably matches his walk total for the year.
