We need a bailout… I’m probably overreacting a little since but when you fail to hit the fuck out of Padilla/Ponson/HoRam/Niemann/Jackson you know there is something wrong with your offense.

I don't understand why our GM is content with our current catching situation.

I also don’t understand why we haven’t seen Cedeno the last couple games at SS. He’s healthy isn’t he?

I know this team has shortcomings and a .500 season would be a big accomplishment for this roster.

If they would just commit to:

1) Cedeno in at least a split duty role at SS
2)Clement in a platoon with Johjima at C
3)RRS or Vargas in place of Silva

I could live with whatever happens on the field.

These moves can be made and would help the team reach it’s limited potential.

As far as I can tell he has not confirmed it yet.

But it was implied in his last speech to the press, and is currently expected in the satire piece at USSM.

I think Wak pretty much confirmed it. The team took one for Silva today.

The team isn’t going to take anymore. Confidence be damned. We’re going to win if we can. Now I hoped he’s had that same little talk with Yuni, although I doubt that Yuni would understand. Sit him already and let’s let Cedeno have a shot at it.

Here's the latest.

But there’s a growing sense in the organization that having Silva step away from the rotation for a while could free his mind from the turmoil he’s put himself through. Few Mariners are feeling the daily pressure Silva has, given his poor results last season, his desire to please his teammates and an angry fan base, and his frustration that nothing he’s tried seems to work.

Other issues will come into play, like how Chris Jakubauskas does in his next outing on Friday. But this latest Silva loss, giving up six runs on eight hits, a hit batsman and a balk, could make him the first domino to fall.

“We’ll talk to Jack and the staff the next day or two and see where we go from here,” Wakamatsu said, in reference to general manager Jack Zduriencik.

Anyone notice that when ESPN analysts expected us to be good(2008) we then suck.

When much isn’t expected(beginning of this season) we flourish. We begin to look good and Eric Young and Kurkjian say we’re gonna be in contention and everything collapses. Stay away from us you unlucky bastards.
