Half the time it seems like we need to start looking for buyers, and half the time it looks like we’re the best team in the division.
Please come back soon, Erik. The team needs you & I desperately want to see a 1-2 of you and Felix against Boston.
Do you know Nick Hill, the West Point pitcher who is pitching great in relief for West Tennessee (30 IP, 2 HR, 7 BB, 36 K) this year? He was at USMA from 2004-2007.
In other news, Joe Morgan just informed us that David Wright can handle breaking balls, when he swings at them, if they are in the strike zone.
When he offers at breaking balls that are out of the zone, Morgan continued, he struggled. So, to recap, had the slider that Wang threw for a k down and away been in the strike zone, Wright would have had no trouble with it.
While my opinions didn't change, drafting Ackley reinforced them.
We’d seen the administration MAKE some good moves, but it was really nice to see them avoid making a bad move, That was refreshing, to not see a horrible screw up with a no brainer move.
I have been at Glastonbury for five days with no way of finding out our scores.
That was pretty torturous and only heavy drinking seemed to make the pain go away. Is Griffey still done? Has Felix been lucky over this awesome stretch or is it time for our collective trousers to come down? How was Morrow in his last start?
I took the week off.
Going to Wimbledon on wednesday, I’ll wear it there!
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
Nice!
I’ll rock the trident cap at the Eddie Vedder shows in Honolulu on wed/thurs.
lemonverbena - June 28, 2009
I hate you both.
Wilder. - June 28, 2009
I have to second that.
Fin - June 28, 2009
How did you get Wimbledon tickets?
I’ve always wanted to go but I have been warned that you have literally no chance of getting Centre Court tickets unless you are corporate?
EnglishMariner - June 29, 2009
Holy shit we won
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
Chicka Chicka Yeah
We won? ALRIGHT!!!!
mvjournal - June 28, 2009
I can only imagine what goes through GMZ's mind.
Half the time it seems like we need to start looking for buyers, and half the time it looks like we’re the best team in the division.

katal - June 28, 2009

dbroncos31 - June 28, 2009

Yikes.
Jeff Sullivan - June 28, 2009
I have a good feeling about this series!
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
Easy sweep.
Wilder. - June 28, 2009
Langerhans!
Jeff Sullivan - June 28, 2009
I'm thinking
Win
Win
Loss.
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
I'm thinking the same thing.
Mariner win
Mariner win
Yankees loss.
CapSea - June 28, 2009
Im thinking just get one win on each of the next two trips and we did a great job
Rudy4three - June 28, 2009
I'll be at the game Thursday
So hopefully Vargas somehow gets it done and CC decides not to pitch well
BQueezy - June 28, 2009
Here's hoping for a repeat of Morrow's last start against the Yankees
Fett42 - June 28, 2009
Are you going to the game?
Fin - June 28, 2009
Nope
Home in WA a the moment.
Fett42 - June 28, 2009
Hey Fett, just curious:
Do you know Nick Hill, the West Point pitcher who is pitching great in relief for West Tennessee (30 IP, 2 HR, 7 BB, 36 K) this year? He was at USMA from 2004-2007.
Decatur - June 28, 2009
I'm Facebook freinds with him
Fett42 - June 28, 2009
I also watched him kick Navy's ass a few times
Fett42 - June 28, 2009
So we're going to blow up his arm then?
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
At least it's two LHPs
I think we beat Pettitte, and hopefully steal one of the other two games.
But who knows
dbroncos31 - June 28, 2009
I'm mostly just hoping we steal at least one game, which will leave us at 3-3 so far on this road trip, exactly where we want to be.
Benne - June 28, 2009
If only I had a job
gregrabble - June 28, 2009
I dunno, it would've been better if the Diamondbacks could've figured out how to win a game or two.
But I’ll take it.
ralphie81 - June 28, 2009
HARPER!
Goose - June 28, 2009
I suppose I could sport my Felix jersey to class tomorrow.
Fin - June 28, 2009
My Doyle jersey
doesn’t fit well, but I’ll wear it while preflighting a U-2 in Korea tomorrow.
hairofthedawg - June 28, 2009
They still fly U-2s?
Awesome.
Decatur - June 28, 2009
yep
at least for a few more years. Expensive, but nothing else does what it does!
hairofthedawg - June 28, 2009
I didn't think Bono's wingspan was long enough.
JLProck - June 28, 2009
Yes
qrsouther - June 28, 2009
It's powered by ego so there's plenty to spare
pdb - June 28, 2009
Here we go, here we go, here we go, here we go...
We’re on the road again!
ThundaPC - June 28, 2009
That 4 game sweep in Fenway in 2003 still haunts me.
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
Seriously, Morse for Langerhans? Are the Nats high?
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
Ummm...have you seen the moves they normally make?
SethGrandpa - June 28, 2009
I feel like Bowden snuck back into their office.
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
This.
Just sub Moorse in for Langerhans.
SethGrandpa - June 28, 2009
They had no use for theirs and we had no use for ours
Jeff Sullivan - June 28, 2009
They have a use for Morse?
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
More than they had for Langerhans I guess
I don’t know. We win.
Jeff Sullivan - June 28, 2009

SIMPLY AMAZING.
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
He must be creating them through some online generator.
Wilder. - June 28, 2009
I approve.
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
Wrong
Jeff Sullivan - June 28, 2009
?
Wilder. - June 28, 2009
(hush you)
CapSea - June 28, 2009
I am reconsidering it was a response to keep people from flooding the site with these things.
Hide! Hide! Hide!
Wilder. - June 28, 2009
Don't want it to get into the wrong hands!
CapSea - June 29, 2009
Also we need a picture of Jack Z on a boat. [Mother Fucker]
marinerdan - June 28, 2009
Don't you ever forget!
JLProck - June 28, 2009
Satisfied?
Wilder. - June 28, 2009

Pitch counts don't work for Livan Hernandez or his brother El Duque. They both just pitch until they win or lose.
abender20 - June 28, 2009
Thank you for lowering my IQ 10 points.
Benne - June 28, 2009
13 games until the break.
When do we get excited about this team?
mark sobba - June 28, 2009
After this trip
seattlebruin - June 28, 2009
1995
CapSea - June 28, 2009
If we manage to not get swept by the Yankees
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
RIGHT NOW!!!!
PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!
I Lick Squirrels - June 28, 2009
I've been excited since the Gutierrez trade.
What the hell has taken the rest of you so long?
Matthew - June 28, 2009
THANK YOU
Aaron Campeau - June 28, 2009
The commercials on TV tell me you should see a doctor then.
joof - June 28, 2009
I've been excited since the trade, then horribly disappointed and jaded because of May, and now excited again
OlSalty - June 29, 2009
While my opinions didn't change, drafting Ackley reinforced them.
We’d seen the administration MAKE some good moves, but it was really nice to see them avoid making a bad move, That was refreshing, to not see a horrible screw up with a no brainer move.
CapSea - June 29, 2009
Your excited face looks like your angry face.
Kirsten Schlewitz - June 29, 2009
Mike Morse cleared waivers earlier this year, didn't he?
OlSalty - June 28, 2009
He sure did.
BrianL - June 28, 2009
Holy shit that's awesome.
thewyrm - June 28, 2009
I just think it's funny that the Nats could have had him for free
OlSalty - June 29, 2009
I think it's obvious by now that the Nats are gunning for Harper.
I Lick Squirrels - June 29, 2009
Rizzo actual said the trade was a "favor" to Langerhans.
I don’t think they’re overly excited about Morse.
Teej - June 29, 2009
I have been at Glastonbury for five days with no way of finding out our scores.

Felix is awesome
Mariner John - June 29, 2009
I brought my Sounders scarf to work on accident.
But I’m wearing teal, does that count?
Kirsten Schlewitz - June 29, 2009
Wearing a Sounders scarf is never an accident.
section331 - June 29, 2009
At work today
Putz jersey on!
section331 - June 29, 2009
Not only did I space on the shirt, I forgot my hat, and so squinted my way into work.
msb - June 29, 2009
I also squinted my way to work, as I just forgot my sunglasses
I look like a complete doofus in a baseball hat.
section331 - June 29, 2009
If they made cute M's pajamas I'd have worn those to work.
Since I work in my living room.
royalcurve - June 29, 2009
Dress code seems pretty flexible, then.
abender20 - June 29, 2009
I own cute M's pajamas, so I can safely say that they do in fact get made.
Matthew - June 29, 2009

Aaron Campeau - June 29, 2009
