Woo!
gregrabble - July 22, 2009
I don't quite get it, but that pic is awesome.
JamMasterJesus - July 22, 2009
Russell Branyan is trying to tag out Major League Baseball.
Eyebrows - July 22, 2009
I'm trying to figure it out.
So..Russell is chasing the league? Or MLB is running away from him?
Goose - July 22, 2009
Russell Branyan is trying to capture Major League Baseball and make it his own
Jeff Sullivan - July 22, 2009
First step: our hearts.
Second step: the MLB!
JamMasterJesus - July 22, 2009
I wish he would capture me and make me his own.
Slow Country - July 22, 2009
Perhaps I could have found an actual picture of Branyan running
Jeff Sullivan - July 22, 2009
The movement lines sell it for me.
JamMasterJesus - July 22, 2009
The league is clearly running away from Branyan because he rapes the MLB.
Slurvey - July 22, 2009
Branyan's calf is bulging or something
Or trembling with all of its massive muscley-ness.
short - July 22, 2009
That chart is excellent.
kentcheesehead - July 22, 2009
Too bad we'll never gain a game on the Angels
Branyan can only do so much to help the cause.
OceanBird - July 22, 2009
Or Texas, for that matter.
Eyebrows - July 22, 2009
Angel's strikezone according to Gameday.
Picture not shopped.
The Typical Idiot Fan - July 22, 2009
Well, yeah.
Eyebrows - July 22, 2009
Napoli actually.
The Typical Idiot Fan - July 22, 2009
The Angels will soon have a better record than the Red Sox.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
100 wins last year!
Eyebrows - July 22, 2009
But not good!
Does not compute.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
We can't control what the Angels or Rangers do.
We need to match and exceed their wins, and beat them when we play them. I’m not that concerned about the Texas (they have to fade in August), and in my mind I know the Angels cannot keep this up, we just need to win the games we play. This M’s team has a lot of comeback in them. I see playoffs.
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
The thing is, we can't do much better than 7-3 in 10 games
Yet our last 10 games is what is arguably knocking us out of contention.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
We aren't out of it yet.
The games still have to be played.
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
Texas has to fade in August? The Angles cannot keep this up?
Bullshit.
Goose - July 22, 2009
Oh, OK enjoy the rest of the summer, it's been sunny and warm,
There’s lot’s to do.
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
Yikes. * lots*
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
THIS IS NOT AN OPEN THREAD FOR THE ANGELS GAME
Jeff Sullivan - July 22, 2009
Fiction?
SethGrandpa - July 22, 2009
THANK YOU
Teej - July 22, 2009
So....wild card?
SethGrandpa - July 22, 2009
We will soon be closer to the Wild Card than the AL West.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
Nick Adenhart was actually a ritual sacrifice.
The Angels are evil and will stop at nothing to win.
I Lick Squirrels - July 22, 2009
If we're going to win the AL West...(haha?)
Its going to be beating up on the Angels and Rangers. Which doesn’t seem that far fetched, it seems like we’ve owned the Angels this season.
And the Rangers have like, what, three extra inning wins against us? We’re the reason they were in first for so long instead of us.
All will be corrected in due time!
OceanBird - July 22, 2009
Then again...we win every game by 1...
SethGrandpa - July 22, 2009
Luckily, aggregate runs scored in a season do not count towards a playoff berth.
Kirsten Schlewitz - July 23, 2009
I'm with you. This is a long way from being over.
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
Morrow blew at least two of them.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
And I just wish we played the Angels sooner so they won't be out of reach when we finally do play them.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
I'd rather play the Angels when they're not hot to the touch, though
calim - July 22, 2009
We only have five (I believe) games left against the Angels
Matthew - July 23, 2009
6 games
10 games left against the A’s and Rangers
Robert - July 23, 2009
We won!
gregrabble - July 22, 2009
So Russell plus pitchers equals 100.5%
Go team!
Craig Powers - July 22, 2009
We really just need to move Branyan to third...
Call up Carp, bench Junior, make Shelton the DH, try out Saunders in left field…Results could either be epic or disastrous.
OceanBird - July 22, 2009
No need to rush Saunders
I think Langerhans is filling in nicely (2 walks and a hit today!).
Regardless of if Griffey is starting, we can’t justify having Shelton, Sweeney and Griffey all on the roster.
Fuckmikereilly - July 22, 2009
Langerhans is fine in LF right now
I trust the new FO to call up Saunders when they feel he’s ready developed enough to face major league pitching and not a second too soon. I’d be far more concerned about SS and who will be the starting SS for the rest of this year and more importantly, the years to come.
bamfor - July 22, 2009
Is it wrong that I'm genuinely surprised and happy a comment by a new poster made absolute perfect, crystal clear sense?
seattlebruin - July 22, 2009
We were all new posters once.
And, in some cases, twice.
CapSea - July 22, 2009
All of this would be silly.
Aaron Campeau - July 22, 2009
Slow down. Wak has done a good job.
He is going to take care of this. I’m not worried. Trust him.
Sinking Away - July 22, 2009
He's starting to look kind of squinty in the dugout
Kermit. - July 22, 2009
Racist.
Kirk - July 23, 2009
Branyan is fine second in the lineup
There really isn’t room on the playing roster for Carp
Shelton is not going to provide much more than Jr
Langerhans is fine in LF and Saunders is highly unlikely to offer any sort of substantial upgrade.
0-4.
Matthew - July 23, 2009
To be fair, he was advocating moving Branyan to 3B
It’s still not a great idea , but a lot of us were hoping for it when Beltre had surgery (and prior to the acquisition of Hannahan).
serotonein - July 23, 2009
Ah, read it as third in the lineup, not third the position.
That is a decent idea but with Hannahan aboard, probably not worth it.
