Hey Ump!
“Do you have what it takes to be an umpire?”
ThundaPC - August 2, 2009
I hope she was stillborn
Graham MacAree - August 2, 2009
WOW
I know he was bad, but stillborn bad? I’m thinking maybe “paraplegic” was the correct answer there.
Sundevil78 - August 2, 2009
Thank you for letting me know what the acceptable limits of hatred on this site are
With your guidance I am sure I can learn to fit into this community in no time
Graham MacAree - August 2, 2009
Well, to be fair this site has a rule where only one guy can be mean. I forget who it is though.
I’m sure he doesn’t post here often though.
JAH - August 2, 2009
I appreciate your thank you note.
Sundevil78 - August 2, 2009
I think stillborn is not even close to being born paraplegic.
At least you can try again with a stillborn. A retarded baby needs care for it’s entire life.
d0nkey - August 3, 2009
No, colic, give her colic.
Sinking Away - August 2, 2009
She'll get over it, but he will be miserable.
Sinking Away - August 2, 2009
This is the worst torture. I can tell you this as fact.
That call was as lazy a call as I have ever seen.
kevin_ess - August 2, 2009
Wheefun.
I logged into the comment section to say the exact same thing.

Jesus Graham
it’s not like we’re in the race. Or like Wilson was going to get a hit.
Jesus.
Bearskin Rugburn - August 2, 2009
Incompetence should be punished
Graham MacAree - August 2, 2009
Yeah I'm over it
Bearskin Rugburn - August 2, 2009
If I were still actually angry I could have been a lot more graphic
Graham MacAree - August 2, 2009
I meant your comment
Bearskin Rugburn - August 2, 2009
It's not like she might amount to anything
Robert - August 2, 2009
She was, but he thought she was fine anyway
Spoomeister - August 2, 2009
"I will make orphens of his children"
“They still would have the mother.”
“Yes, but I imagine she would die of grief.”
JAH - August 2, 2009
Was wondering if it looked as bad live as on Gameday.
’Fraid so.
Paytheline - August 2, 2009
Needed more Snell.
I Lick Squirrels - August 2, 2009
Should we be worried about Branyan's seeming fall from grace?
Or should I just wait until the July report card comes out to see?
Mariner John - August 2, 2009
It's called regression.
It happens.

I figured
I just don’t know where to find it month by month and .315 seems unbad.
Mariner John - August 2, 2009
Baseball reference will have those splits
and if I’m not mistaken Fangraphs can break it down month by month (or last 14 or 30 days) if you’re looking at all the Mariners’ stats, but not player pages.
Bearskin Rugburn - August 2, 2009
.173 for July
Matthew - August 2, 2009
Good grief
You mentioned his July contact rate was pretty good in the game thread didn’t you? That seems rather unlucky.
BrianL - August 2, 2009
I missed the game. Did Snell pitch well today?
joof - August 2, 2009
yes
I’ll leave the details for others. But he looked good to me.
Snuffleupagus - August 2, 2009
Victim to the Arlington Special
otherwise was OK, didn’t use the change as much as he’ll need to to be a solid starter, and looked to me like he had an inning or two in him when he got yanked. Oh and the walks – the zone was shit today.
Bearskin Rugburn - August 2, 2009
Agreed.
nickmo - August 2, 2009
I would say so.
I thought the overall result was fine. He kept us in the game. Struggled with command a bit, and didn’t throw enough changeups at first. Missed some bats down the stretch and made some nice pitches to get the job done.
I’d call it a success.
nickmo - August 2, 2009
Not particularly well, but not awful.
Between what I saw today and what I know of Snell, I’m cautiously optimistic. He has it in him to be a No. 2 or a No. 3.
Teej - August 2, 2009
So. Fckmikereilly was recently talking about wanting to change his screenname. Ideas anyone?

Fuck you Reyburn
a million times fuck you.
After he called the game, Wilson kept showing him where the ball hit the bat, and judging from the video, it looked like Reyburn just kept saying “No. No. No. No. No…”
Oh GENIUS fucking answer douchebag.
And your baby girl? I forgot to tell you SHE’S MINE.
SHE’S MY BABY. I AM THE FATHER
HA. HA. HA.
fuck you
Karma Police - August 2, 2009
The little bastard is probably a boy.
Reyburn just called it a girl, 50/50 chance and all.
hcoguy - August 2, 2009
So ....
it’s happened before
msb - August 2, 2009
What the hell, 4 doubles in that game. By Ichiro, Beltre, Yuni, and Joh.
Weird.
Kermit. - August 2, 2009
Whoa, nice find.
Go back to the minor leagues Reyburn, you douche of an umpire.
Sam Regens - August 3, 2009
I think Snell did great considering he had not pitched a real in game in awhile,
new to the team, and having to face the Rangers in his first start. Sick ending to the game, no matter if it mattered or not, that was pure ridiculous. Kind of shocking how the Rangers have gone completely down hill as a team so quickly.
44FAN - August 2, 2009
Huh?
How have the gone downhill as a team exactly?
Mariner John - August 3, 2009
All the recent injuries, Kinsler out with a hamsrting, Hamilton has not found his swing since coming back
from his stint on the DL. Stuff like that. I watched this game and they just did’nt seem as dominant as last time the Angels played them.
44FAN - August 3, 2009
The Rangers haven't really gone downhill...
they’re 11-3 in their last 14 games, the Angels have just been ridiculously good.
Eldukey - August 3, 2009
Are the Angels good, or are they just dirty?
Sam Regens - August 3, 2009
I don't recall the last time I've gotten so worked up about balls and strikes
That was a disappointment last night to say the least.
qrsouther - August 3, 2009
Tee hee.
Eyebrows - August 3, 2009
That's a fantastic quote to take out of context.
Bravo.
