So Vargas really helped today
greymstreet - August 6, 2009
That is, +38.8 is pretty good
greymstreet - August 6, 2009
I'm pretty sure if you look close, Vargas is driving the Steam Roller.
Sundevil78 - August 6, 2009
You would think we'd juggle the rotation a bit so that Vargas can pitch at Safeco
where our defense and park factors make him appear to a good pitcher.
His road numbers are hideous
Rudy4three - August 6, 2009
THAT'S RACIST!
Yoyogi - August 7, 2009
So I like Saunders quite a bit, but I really miss Langerhans.
SethGrandpa - August 6, 2009
Yeah, I too like Saunders, but I want him to hit a HR or 2 soon.
ignacio - August 6, 2009
He should have one
>:(
Jeff Sullivan - August 6, 2009
What do you mean?
I thought he had one. It popped out of the fielder’s gl…. oh wait that was Kendry.
Eyebrows - August 6, 2009
Get fucked you fuck

Ain't you sweet?

Aren't...
vivaelpujols - August 6, 2009
Don't be a cock.
Aaron Campeau - August 6, 2009
Someone with "kinda" in his signature has no room to correct others on grammar.
katal - August 7, 2009
Kiss my butt.
royalcurve - August 7, 2009
Well this backfired
vivaelpujols - August 7, 2009
We don't really know you but we all know and love RC.
If this was a joke, it’s a bad idea to make such jokes in this sort of context. If it wasn’t a joke, this level of grammar Nazi-ism is beyond annoying.
Aaron Campeau - August 7, 2009
Noted
vivaelpujols - August 7, 2009
I like the equilibrium on this one
Good work Poochie
Sec 108 - August 7, 2009
Well.....at least Beltre had a good night....
Goose - August 6, 2009
I think the number of comments in the game thread sums up this series.

Grass Creek is OURSSSSSSSS!
kansasjhawk044 - August 6, 2009
Losing to Bruce Chen is about as cool as pooping yourself
Trenchtown - August 7, 2009
Dude, losing to Bruce Chen isn't cool at all.
lailaihei - August 7, 2009
If pooping your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis!
Coach Owens - August 7, 2009
George Brett must lose to Bruce Chen a lot.
Wilder. - August 7, 2009
Can someone tell me why Vargas started sucking so much?
He seemed servicable when he first filled in for the rotation. But then he was pushed out and since coming back I think he’s sucked.
This is my impression or am I just statistically challenged?
Sam Regens - August 7, 2009
He sucks. Has and probably will.
He throws a shitty fastball 70% of the time. Doesn’t really miss many bats. Allows a lot of home runs. He is a lefty though so I guess when you say “He seemed serviceable” maybe you just meant you saw he threw with his left hand.
Edgar for Pres - August 7, 2009
Randomly looking at some stuff for Ryan Franklin
who was a shitty pitcher turned really shitty turned kinda apparently good. Look at this pitch % graph and tell me it doesn’t make you want to have a seizure.
Edgar for Pres - August 7, 2009
Thanks, so you're saying Vargas was never so good to begin with.
I think the best thing for C’ryan Franklin (and Pineiro) was moving to the weak league.
But I get your point about the (nonstatistical) impression of Franklin
Sam Regens - August 7, 2009
I half-expected the steamroller to lying upside down ...
msb - August 7, 2009
Larue has a note this morning on Branyan's ongoing back troubles
here
msb - August 7, 2009
I'm starting to think we should stick him on the DL :(
Who would we bring up? Carp or Shelton again?
Eyeball Kid - August 7, 2009
It might be more interesting to see Carp
and from what I understand about back pain the best thing is rest. Let’s hope it doesn’t become chronic.
