At least they didn't no hit us.
Mariner John - September 10, 2009
Another successful season!
Jeff Sullivan - September 10, 2009
Well that was a terrible series
Gihyou - September 10, 2009
Chicks dig the long ball.
Our lineup is faggy.
Wilder. - September 10, 2009
Maybe our lineup just likes the same kind of chicks Ichiro does....
msb - September 10, 2009
Griffey?
Steven was taken - September 10, 2009
Just to clarify
This comment was made out of love.

Sort of

The guy at the curb should be in a wheelchair.
ThundaPC - September 10, 2009
Awesome pic!
I hate LAA.
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
I wish someday we can give it to the Angels like Robert's X-rated Mariner logo was giving it to the Rays
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
Still time to blow .500!
Poochie - September 11, 2009
Your guy Messenger will probably play a key role
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
Is Ichiro playing hurt or just in regression?
He did’nt seem up to his old self this series.
44FAN - September 11, 2009
Ichiro had a sore calf and was out for a while.
But even Pujols has a bad series once in a while.
CapSea - September 11, 2009
"In regression" really isn't a thing.
pdb - September 11, 2009
It isn't a thing at all.
Kirk - September 11, 2009
A thing it isn't.
CapSea - September 11, 2009
I would like to have RRS on our team, since he is friends with Rich Thompson and all he would fit right in.
44FAN - September 11, 2009
Great game for RRS, at least
66% strikes and a ton of ground balls.
Milendriel - September 11, 2009
Yes, RRS has been really solid recently
And thank God, we don’t have French coming up next to shit the pooch again.
Our losing streak started when he coughed up an early 3-0 lead to the lowly A’s and proceeded to get lit up like a bong at Michael Phelps’ birthday party.
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
I'm not sure it's their fault, but fuck the Angels
for scheduling a night game when the M’s have to travel after the game.
I read on Mariners Insider that the team will probably reach their hotel in Texas around 6 AM.
Fuck the Angels, I hope they get swept by the White Sox and we get swept by the Rangers.
(But Ichiro gets 10 hits in the series and the starters all pitch great but Batista comes in and gets unsurprisedly tagged for 3 straight losses. Felix’s start slides to the 15th where he pitches a perfect game against the ChiSox).
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
Yeah, the Angels don't make the schedules. Blame MLB for that.
Eyebrows - September 11, 2009
I don't think you understood the point of this post
fuck the Angels because they FORCED MLB to give the Mariners a shitty travel schedule. It’s just another example of annoying south coast bias that MLB and umpires clearly have against the Mariners
seattlebruin - September 11, 2009
I believe that steroid-fueled Yankees are the real culprit.
Teej - September 11, 2009
The deranged wind dynamics have changed the jet stream, changing travel for left-handed pilots.
abender20 - September 11, 2009
I thought Corey Lidle was right-handed.
Teej - September 11, 2009
Dammit, Cory.
Way to blow it.
Teej - September 11, 2009
Spelling be damned, you earned it
abender20 - September 11, 2009
Nice!
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
Yikes! An Angels fan. Sorry for the hatin', it's nothing personal.
Just getting tired of being stepped on.
Sam Regens - September 11, 2009
Some how
this season feels just as about as painful as last season. Sometimes I can almost feel my loyalty wane.
InSpokane - September 11, 2009
To me this season feels a damn sight better than last.
Largely because I’m a bit more baseball-savvy this year (thanks LL!) and because some aspects of this team have at least been fun to watch.
Eyeball Kid - September 11, 2009
GUTZ!
Kirk - September 11, 2009
The poster boy for some aspects!
Eyeball Kid - September 11, 2009
The whole not-losing-every-day thing has helped a little, too.
seattlebruin - September 11, 2009
This is the saddest win expectancy graph I've ever seen.
I thought maybe Jeff had mistakenly copied the 1929 stock market graph.
