100 is a fun number
jackyz - October 2, 2010 via mobile
We're No. 2! We're No. 2! We're No. 2!
msb - October 2, 2010
One HR ball a year for three years now! Totally rad.
BrettJMiller - October 2, 2010 via mobile
Which one did you catch?
jackyz - October 2, 2010 via mobile
Condor's. But I didn't catch this one, I had to scramble for it. Caught the other two though!!
BrettJMiller - October 2, 2010
I think you made it on TV
Watching the replays, there is a guy with a beard high fiving somebody else, while holding the ball in the air
jackyz - October 2, 2010 via mobile
That sexy motherfucker is in fact me.
BrettJMiller - October 3, 2010
>Just because they are young [players], doesn't mean they will be exciting<
I think it has been a long season for Shannon.
msb - October 2, 2010
Mariners = Family fun!
Now I’m gonna go have a catch with my Dad!
Grady Clapp - October 2, 2010
I'm going to go kick my dad in the nuts for bringing me up to be a Mariners fan.
FairWeatherFred - October 2, 2010
I can look forward to my son saying this 12 years from now.
JLProck - October 2, 2010
Does he want to be depressed?
Smoak is going to give us 8 titles in 12 years.
OceanBird - October 2, 2010
I'm sure my son will feel the same way.
FairWeatherFred - October 3, 2010
Whatever children I eventually have will likely do the same.
Misery must be spread through the generations.
c_dowley - October 3, 2010
Lame.
joof - October 2, 2010
Erik Bedard in 2011!!
talofox - October 2, 2010
100 losses!
OceanBird - October 2, 2010
Fuck.
Fuck.

Casper has never looked so bad.
TrustBaseball - October 3, 2010
THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL POSSIBLE UNIVERSES AND TIMELINES

ThundaPC - October 3, 2010
Now how is Baker gonna blame this on Josh Lueke?
Just wait. It’s coming.
MarioMangler - October 3, 2010
We may have lost 100, but lets think of happier times, like this.
joof - October 3, 2010
But that happened in 2008...
Don’t make me kill myself.
OceanBird - October 3, 2010
He/She is right. That isn't a happier time.
TrustBaseball - October 3, 2010
Also he injured himself in that game at a play at the plate
As I remember it, he was out for a few weeks after that and then never seemed 100% for the next month or so after he came back.
Awesome moment though. Opposite field shot off one of the top pitchers at the time with the bases loaded. There’s literally only one thing Felix can’t do, and that’s not be awesome in every way imaginable.
TIFO - October 3, 2010
Fine! Bunch of Pessimists.
joof - October 3, 2010
Well, it seems Beltran was cursed by the Baseball gods for his sacrilege.
Felix has been amazing the last few years, but Beltran hasn’t been able to stay healthy at all. That was a very scary moment, though. Imagine how worse 2008 would have been if it had been worse.
No, actually don’t do that. It’s far too depressing.
quacker27 - October 3, 2010
I blame Clement
Poochie - October 3, 2010
Wooooo!
Goose - October 3, 2010
We're almost there
Meanwhile it’s nice that Smoak is a switch hitter

Triple digits!!!
Omerta - October 3, 2010
Ichiro:212 hits, 29 doubles, 3 triples, 6 homers, 41 stolen bases.
73 runs.
abender20 - October 3, 2010
Shannon commeneted on the postgame show (paraphrasing here)
Ichiro had his 200 hit, Figgins improved, hitting .400 at the end of the year, they both stole 40 bases, and what did they have to show for it…
msb - October 3, 2010
Can't wait for this season to be over because I'm SO looking forward to how little we can improve during the winter.
RustyJohn - October 3, 2010
It's great to see that old Seattle pessimism back.
the other side - October 3, 2010
That assumes it ever left in the first place
pdb - October 3, 2010
I like round numbers
Poochie - October 3, 2010
6.7% of Mariner seasons have ended with more than 100 losses
pdb - October 3, 2010
And 40% of those have been under Howard Lincoln!
Fun fact: The Mariners have had more 100 loss seasons under Lincoln (2) since moving to Safeco than Argyros in the Kingdome (1).
Bonus fun fact: The Mariners have had more 90+ loss seasons since 2003 (4) than they had under Argyros (3).
I think it’s time for Howard Lincoln to whine about how poorly he’s been treated by the media and the bloggers again, don’t you?
