I was at his 13K game back on August 10th and it was one of my favorite moments of the season

I’m so happy for him and I’m glad that we were able to draw some joy from a terrible season

When I met Felix last week I asked him about the Cy Young award.

Toward the end of the season, there seemed to me to be a true grass-roots movement toward Hernandez — jump-started, to a large extent, by Geoff Baker in his Seattle Times Mariners blogs. By the end of the year, influential national writers like Buster Olney, Jayson Stark, Ken Rosenthal, Jon Heyman, Joe Posnanski (who happens to have a vote — give Felix three out of 28) and Jeff Passan were all advocating for Felix.

I rarely read Baker nowadays, but I’m really grateful for how skillfully he has argued Felix’s case this year.
