Awkward

Amaro: So, listen. The reason I've put together this conference call is because I think of our team as a family, and I want to consult with the family before I make any really important decisions.
Amaro: And, right now, I'm facing a really important decision. A decision that could make a world of difference for the next several years. So I wanted to ask you guys - what do you think about Cliff Lee? I've got a chance here. I just want to make sure it's all kosher before I proceed.
Oswalt: Hell yeah!
Hamels: Yes, absolutely!
Utley: Come on man, of course! If you can get him, get him!
Halladay: You've got my full support.
Howard: Bring the man back!
Kendrick: Count me in!
Blanton: NO
Lidge: Sign that bad boy, let's win this thing!
Blanton: NO

Some good newspaper or something better pick you up someday, Sullivan.
Newspaper?
So delightfully retro!
I don't know.
They existed before the internet according to wikipedia
LL should acquire the PI.
Fuck you cupcake

You worthless fat bastard, you

Blanton needs to get on the Mariners somehow.

He’s the type of pitcher who’ll peripheral up a mid-2.00 ERA and we can sucker a team out of a good prospect for him.

Call him Jarrod Washburn Redux.

Except for the fact that most M's fans want Blanton to die

That would totally work out.

We learned to love Washburn after 8 years as an Angel

and he netted us a nice prospect on the way out.

Yeah but Washburn didn't attack Ichiro
I feel like a jackass again but I don't know of this story
Here.

That's the first thing I thought about with Blanton

You can’t take on Ichiro and not be hated for eternity by fans of the Mariners.

Who loved Washburn?
Nobody, I guess.

My point is we should be acquiring bad pitchers with okay peripherals. have them pitch in Safeco behind this defense for four months, then trade them to a stupid GM who thinks they’ve “turned a corner”.

It’s just that Blanton’s the perfect test case.

I'm all in favor of taking advantage of the massive amounts of stupid floating around MLB front offices

and that’s a way to harvest it.

Speak for yourself.
Who keeps saying that?
Nobody ever listens to me.

It's the beard.

I guess you shaved your neck at least.

Was that the sequel to this story?
