Besides, the great thing about the internet is that I don’t have to see people — I can imagine everybody here has a nice single digit body fat percentage.
Of course, judging from some of the hostility my comment elicited, that’s almost certainly in error, and some of these people are regularly losing their keyboards under rolls of belly lard.
But this doesn’t make me that sad. Both players are great human beings and are both terribly underrated. They both suffered from the huge left field at Safeco, a flaw that’s pretty much perfectly reversed at Fenway. I’m actually going to be pretty happy if they get the recognition they deserve playing on national television every (goddam) week.
Of course the tools that root for Boston will just complain that they strike out too much and aren’t named Manny Ramirez enough. Douchebags. I seriously hate Sox fans worse than the team itself.
but I think seeing Beltre and Cameron with the SAWKS is worse. Maybe because they were awesome for non-obvious reasons, whereas Unit and A-Rod were superstars who you assumed would land in one of Boston or New York eventually.
I have always liked Cameron but Beltre was obviously juicing in LA and because he had no plate discipline I could never maje myself care much about him anway. Plus I got over Cammy after watching Guti play last year. What makes me laugh is when I read sawks fans say that Cameron and Beltre are going to take them to the series this year. Hilarious!

Disgusting.
Goose - February 22, 2010
This is like finding your parents on XTube
Aaron Campeau - February 22, 2010
Since we knew it was eventually going to happen
it’s more like your parents telling you about their new XTube video that they’re pretty excited about.
pdb - February 22, 2010
I'm guessing I should wait til I get home to check this XTube thingey out eh?
d0nkey - February 23, 2010
Unless you don't mind getting fired I would suggest waiting, yes
pdb - February 23, 2010
Or on CL's NSA section.
mark sobba - February 23, 2010
I don't love you no more.
katal - February 22, 2010
You should get your red sox tee shirt redone
Robert - February 22, 2010
I have already promised to burn it in effigy the moment we face Boston in the playoffs.
katal - February 23, 2010
They're no Matsuzakas, that's for sure
Graham MacAree - February 22, 2010
Hey everyone Eric has a Red Sox Matsuzakas tee shirt.
Robert - February 22, 2010
I am sad.
w00tah - February 22, 2010
At least they didn't get Felix!
OlSalty - February 22, 2010
Suckers
Jeff Sullivan - February 22, 2010
The Arthur Rhodes deal ends as a bust. A veteran leftie in the bullpen would have been valuable down the stretch in 2008
BRKLN M'S - February 22, 2010
90% of me thought this was Vatinius
seattlebruin - February 23, 2010
I'm diving in this river and, I'm fishing out my heart, and I'm never gonna let you get your hands on this again...
BRKLN M'S - February 22, 2010
I'm going to pretend those are special M's uniforms or maybe All-Star uniforms.
Edgar for Pres - February 22, 2010
Enjoy your new fans :(
Aaron Campeau - February 22, 2010
A moving image
BRKLN M'S - February 22, 2010
Is that Marky Mark?
JonBBT - February 23, 2010
Can't forget this imbecile.
SeaKoala - February 23, 2010
Eh, can't hate the guy. Dude's got spirit.
Plus this was taken before the start of game 7 of the 2004 ALCS, no?
Eyebrows - February 23, 2010
I automatically hate fat guys with guts
They make me embarrassed for my gender and species.
wandergeist - February 23, 2010
You might want to leave the Internet
Jeff Sullivan - February 23, 2010
Too late
Besides, the great thing about the internet is that I don’t have to see people — I can imagine everybody here has a nice single digit body fat percentage.
Of course, judging from some of the hostility my comment elicited, that’s almost certainly in error, and some of these people are regularly losing their keyboards under rolls of belly lard.
wandergeist - February 26, 2010
We love you, too, asshole.
Kisses!
The Typical Idiot Fan - February 23, 2010
Note that if you're a fat guy without a gut apparently you save wandergeist the embarrassment that comes with the vagaries of the human body
pdb - February 23, 2010
Wow you sure do hate a lot of people automatically
Also, blow me
Aaron Campeau - February 23, 2010
Yep. We have a more delicate species.

Not to mention....
this guy
msb - February 23, 2010
Whatever, I'm moving on to Gutierrez and Jack Wilson.
That’s a whole lot of ugly and a whole lot of sexy right there.
Kermit. - February 22, 2010
Moving along, nothing to see here.
urchman - February 22, 2010
I fucking hate the Red Sox
It was actually nice to see the Yankees win the World Series last year, now the Red Sox are the bitches again.
OceanBird - February 22, 2010
I feel completely the opposite
I’ll be happy to see another 27 titles in Beantown before the Yankees win again.
But yes, it does sting to see AB and Cammy on the same team, and not in Seattle.
tait644 - February 22, 2010
For some reason, I never feel like Yankee championships count.
In years where the Yankees win, it’s more like the rest of the league just came to a stalemate.
JonBBT - February 23, 2010
I hate Boston so much much much much more
I hate Boston. I hate them. I would kill myself before becoming a Red Sox fan.
SeaKoala - February 23, 2010
Noooo! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
marc w - February 22, 2010
Horrifying.
JAH - February 22, 2010
Gross.
JLC - February 22, 2010
It hurts because they're smiling.
JLC - February 22, 2010
They're smiling because they're imagining being on the M's
With Felix, Lee, and Bedard starting in the World Series.
In the next picture they’re frowning because they just realized how much work they are going to get cleaning up for Dice-K.
CMC_Stags - February 22, 2010
I must not hate the Sox enough
But this doesn’t make me that sad. Both players are great human beings and are both terribly underrated. They both suffered from the huge left field at Safeco, a flaw that’s pretty much perfectly reversed at Fenway. I’m actually going to be pretty happy if they get the recognition they deserve playing on national television every (goddam) week.
Of course the tools that root for Boston will just complain that they strike out too much and aren’t named Manny Ramirez enough. Douchebags. I seriously hate Sox fans worse than the team itself.
short - February 22, 2010
At least for me...
I hate Red Sox fans and I hate the Yankees. The Red Sox are an okay org and Yankee fans are decent if annoying smug.
CMC_Stags - February 22, 2010
Yeah I agree
I hate Boston fans and the Yankees team.
Edgar for Pres - February 22, 2010
Yankees fans are no peaches
Everything in pinstripes can basically go jump up its own ass as far as I’m concerned.
short - February 22, 2010
Yankees fans have the rings to back it up
Sox fans are just little bitches
njd.aitken - February 23, 2010
That's a good way to sum it up.
Though, some Red Sox players are particularly hateable.
JonBBT - February 23, 2010
Must be a JI photoshop.
CapSea - February 22, 2010

The Typical Idiot Fan - February 22, 2010
So how many of you tried clicking the play arrow?
Jeff Sullivan - February 22, 2010
I admit it. :(

Shut up!
That’s how many!
JAH - February 22, 2010

JonBBT - February 23, 2010
Ah
Fuck. :(

I hovered the mouse over it and almost did until I saw .jpg show up in the address in that bottom of Firefox.

I work in the computer software industry and would never do such a stupid thing don't even suggest it because I wouldn't
I WOULDN’T, OKAY? EXCEPT THAT I WAS JUST TESTING IT
pdb - February 23, 2010
And it DOES make the picture bigger, which is what I was after....
wazzu93 - February 23, 2010
Grumble.
royalcurve - February 23, 2010
I can honestly say I did not....
Of course, this is only due to the fact that I wanted nothing to do with seeing any future versions of that disgusting image.
Rich Langford - February 23, 2010
Boooooooooooooooooooooo.
SethGrandpa - February 22, 2010
Nothing can break me after
Cammy & Beltre in Boston? Fucking amateur hour.
Poochie - February 22, 2010
Unit hurt,
but I think seeing Beltre and Cameron with the SAWKS is worse. Maybe because they were awesome for non-obvious reasons, whereas Unit and A-Rod were superstars who you assumed would land in one of Boston or New York eventually.
JonBBT - February 23, 2010
I'm indifferent to Beltre, and I love Mike Cameron but not as much as Randy or A-Rod
Poochie - February 23, 2010
I was like 11 when Unit and A-Rod were on the team,
and I did not think that rationally (and didn’t actually know about things like free agency). In my mind they were going to be Mariners forever.
ChristopherA - February 23, 2010
: (
lemonverbena - February 23, 2010
yes, but Tino Martinez wasn't very good so I don't care
Poochie - February 23, 2010
GASP.
How dare you hate on Tino?? You should be flogged! ;)
Matt Erickson - February 23, 2010
Tino was pretty good (1995-1999)
Top ten hitter plus decent defender. Sure he was at 1B but that’ might be better than anything the M’s have had.
Edgar for Pres - February 23, 2010
When you say top ten hitter I assume you mean one of the ten best hitters on his team
John Olerud mops the floor with him.
Poochie - February 23, 2010
I doubt there are many places in Boston that Adrian can merengue
Kirsten Schlewitz - February 23, 2010
I don't think it's really going to sink in how much this sucks until we play them
OlSalty - February 23, 2010
Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry?
I will just remember this day instead.
mark sobba - February 23, 2010
Now I can't get that stupid Culture Club song out of my head.
wazzu93 - February 23, 2010
And my day started out pretty good. Now this.
InSpokane - February 23, 2010
This doesn't bother me as much as it once would've since I hate eunichs
Rich Langford - February 23, 2010
meh
I have always liked Cameron but Beltre was obviously juicing in LA and because he had no plate discipline I could never maje myself care much about him anway. Please don't throw around random steroid accusations
We frown on them around here.
Jeff Sullivan - February 23, 2010
You wouldn't say that if it wasn't for your 'Roid rage
Rich Langford - February 23, 2010
I'm not picking on you or anything, but your post brings up something I've wanted to comment on for a while.
Does anybody else roll their eyes when they see “sawks” or “yankmees” or anything other lame insult like that, even to the teams you hate?
I do.
Goose - February 23, 2010
Yes yes a thousand times yes
Same applies when it’s done to people, like “A-Fraud” or “A-Roid”.
pdb - February 23, 2010
Thank jebus that "Gay-Rod" is still in play
Poochie - February 23, 2010
You know what?
I’ve actually never heard that one.
SeaKoala - February 23, 2010
Me three.
msb - February 23, 2010
Scumcats, wildcraps, rats... I hear them all about the University of Arizona and yeah, cannot stand em.
seattlesundevil - February 23, 2010
C-rod says NAY!!
John Edwards - February 23, 2010
You mean 'neigh'
Graham MacAree - February 23, 2010
No, I mean nay as in no.
But the funny works either weigh.
John Edwards - February 24, 2010
Just join and THIS is how you start off here? Accusing Beltre of steroids and throwing "sawks" out there?
seattlesundevil - February 23, 2010
Adrian :(
bagsflyfree - February 23, 2010
This is doubly horrifying for me
since I am both a Brewer and a Mariner fan.
