Per Drayer:
Add to that what Wak calls "three real quality at bats" it is safe to say Moore is impressing all round.
"He's got a lot of talent," the skipper said.
One last catching note, Wak is switching up the catchers in Tucson. Originally Rob Johnson was going to catch Felix on Sunday. They want to cover their bases should Rob have a set back so now Adam will make that start with Johnson catching Lee on Monday. Moore has had a small amount of experiences with the M's top two pitchers as he caught one inning of Felix and two of Lee in simulated games.
Woo.
Hurray! Relegate Johnson to the career backup he is destined to be!

Its all becoming clear now.
Wak only favors rookie catchers. The flood of nostalgia that washes over him as he remembers his halcyon days causes him to tear up and he can’t help but give them their big league shot. As soon as their rookie year ends, Wak discards them. Only young men will do. HE IS THE COACHING COUGAR!

Baron better hurry his ass up then.

Somewhere Rob Johnson is freaking the fuck out.

Rob Johnson
Wally Pipp, be thy fate.
Though as the guys note in the podcast, Johnson kind of did the same thing to Johjima during the WBC, so there’s a sort of karmic poetic justice to it as well.

I'd love Rob Johnson to be the new Tom Lampkin
