I hope you didn't think that was a one-time post, because I'm just getting started. The thing about sponsorship deals is that they don't just give you money for nothing. I know, right? Turns out I have to do something too, and what I have to do is keep talking about the CBSSports.com Commissioner League. I understand that bothers many of you, and it kind of bothers me, too, but it turns out I like money and people not yelling at me for disobedience.
So. CBSSports.com Commissioner Leagues! I told you the other day that we had a deal for you, and here you go - if you're interested in creating or joining a league, you can do so for half the normal cost by following this link. That's $90 off, which is rather substantial. Why CBSSports.com instead of Yahoo!? I don't know. I've only ever played Yahoo! before. But what I'm told is that (1) CBSSports.com is fully customizable, (2) it's won a bunch of awards, (3) you get live scoring, (4) you can run keeper leagues, (5) there's a 14-day free trial, (6) interaction and message board features are excellent, and (7) you get a lot of up-to-date information from the CBSSports.com staff. I'll be playing both this year, which means I can offer a comparison come October, by which point this sponsorship will have long since expired and I won't be talking about fantasy baseball anymore.
So, again, follow this link if you're interested in taking the deal and setting up a league. Or, if you want to play in a league with me (I'm important!), let me know in the comment thread.
Mandatory legal language below. By the way, calling me a sellout doesn't pack any punch considering I joined SBN in January 2005. I've been a sellout longer than Gaby Hernandez has been alive.

CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation baseball communities.
This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Baseball Commissioner League.

I want to
be in a league with you, Jeff. Just cuz it’s you. :)

In the keeper league I run, we left Yahoo for CBS Commissioner a couple of years ago and haven't looked back.
We pay about $15 per person per season. It’s a little steep, but it’s worth it for us to have access to all the players in the minors (instead of waiting for Yahoo to add them, forcing you to possibly burn a high waiver claim to get a prospect you want to hide on your bench). Also, being able to fully customize the stats you use, a chat window on the live scoring page, and other features make it really nice.
Is it worth the cost? Depends on the kind of league you want to run and how important certain features are to you. But I love it.
Now where’s my money?

Seriously though
As someone who doesn’t give a good god damn about fantasy, I don’t really care as long as it doesn’t start drowning out other font page content.
appleshampoo - March 5, 2010
It will not
Jeff Sullivan - March 5, 2010
You and Joe Morgan are both hilarious with these.
Field Gulls schilling is a delight to behold. You can just taste the “annoyed” in his writings.
The Typical Idiot Fan - March 5, 2010
I've never understood the compulsion to try to hide it
People know when you’re shilling something so you might as well slap them in the balls with it.
Jeff Sullivan - March 5, 2010
Sounds like the campaign was a big success
We should expect many, many more sponsorship tie-ins in the future.
John Morgan - March 6, 2010
Can't wait until I'm pitching KY

Time to go back to Leone for Third
Corco - March 5, 2010
I'm not sure if you need us to voice desire to be in your league again
But consider it voiced.
Robert Lintott - March 5, 2010
To reiterate from the last thread, I'd like to be in said league to be lorded over by Jeff.
SethGrandpa - March 5, 2010
I'd be interested, but there's just no way I can find the time to participate in two leagues, much less run one and play in another.
Perhaps next year.
Goose - March 5, 2010
I'm in 8
Griffin Cooper - March 5, 2010
Jeez. Where do you find the time?
I was in 5 leagues for a couple of years and it killed me. Hell I had to drop out of the BMO league last year because I wasn’t able to devote enough time to both.
Goose - March 6, 2010
I don't know, I never find it necessary to devote ALL that much time to fantasy leagues. Update your rosters once a day, consider adds/drops, and evaluate trade possibilities a couple times a week
Also I got sucked into a whole bunch of dynasty leagues a couple of years ago and can’t bring myself to quit any of them. However there are always a few I care about the most.
Griffin Cooper - March 6, 2010
This reminded me that I completely forgot to participate in JamMasterJesus' football league.
Kee-rap. What makes a league better than others anyway?
Kermit. - March 6, 2010
Competitiveness, stat categories, activity (it's boring if no one makes trades)
I find keeper leagues/dynasty leagues to be way more fun as well.
Griffin Cooper - March 6, 2010
I, too, am moderately interested, as well.
OlSalty - March 5, 2010
I am still interested.
And I am willing to overlook your selling out.
Mariner John - March 5, 2010
I wish to be in a league with you, Jeff
Griffin Cooper - March 5, 2010
I'd love to join a LL league if there's spots available.
On Jeff’s or whoevers
BigR - March 5, 2010
Give me !
Robert - March 5, 2010
I am interested in joining.
But It would be awesome to know what the settings will be.
yteimlad - March 6, 2010
The last thread I might have sounded on the fence
Just would like to clearly state I’d like to get in on this league if possible.
Edgar for Pres - March 6, 2010
I am interested in joining.
I’d like a shot at ya Jeff.
Boy9988 - March 6, 2010
Still interested in joining the league you're running.
BrettJMiller - March 6, 2010
I don't know if I have to post here again but I'm still interested
