Are we allowed to freak out? Just a little?

I thought Z had one of these
Zonis - April 26, 2010
True story
There is one of those in the roof control room (saw it at FanFest).
appleshampoo - April 26, 2010 via mobile
I have one at my desk
Matthew - April 26, 2010
I know it hasn't even been a month, but
Ichiro is on pace for 16 RBI’s.
killer_ewok18 - April 26, 2010
I don't think Ron Washington understands snow.
kentroyals5 - April 26, 2010
Isn't that a picture of him?
Brian Floyd - April 26, 2010
gasp
there’s white powder everywhere!
Zonis - April 26, 2010
Even WPA agrees...
…this game was lost entirely by the offense tonight.
Avery Bowron - April 26, 2010
When Rob Johnson is the biggest contribution to a Felix loss, then someone
is doing something horribly wrong. Wak, could it be you?
TrustBaseball - April 26, 2010
This game sucked.
Slow Country - April 26, 2010
I think it's safe to say this was the worst game of the year so far....
Now we get to look forward to Greinke vs. Snell!
Boz86 - April 26, 2010
Greinke vs. Snell couldn't possibly be as bad as this.
Unless Yuni homered four times and somehow injured Felix and Guti in one fell swoop.
Fuckmikereilly - April 26, 2010
It's more likely Yuni gets them sent to jail
People Killed By Yuni: None, as far as I know
People in prisonl b/c Yuni: 1
Trenchtown - April 26, 2010
Endy Chavez had his season murdered by Yuni. I think that should count.
the other side - April 26, 2010
You should have seen the last series
DrunkAmerican - April 26, 2010
9-11
Haven’t we suffered enough?
lemonverbena - April 26, 2010
This has been a terrible four games.
E-Lizz - April 26, 2010
Ok Z, we've had enough of this.
Just DFA Sweeney and Colome, bring up Langerhans and Hannahan, stick Bradley at DH, and limit Griffey to less than 100 more PAs over the course of the season.
lailaihei - April 26, 2010
Seriously. It's like everyone knows this.
RunningFool - April 26, 2010
I don't know what is stopping him.
He seems like the kind of person to do this without hesitation, but someone (coughWakamastucough) must be holding him back a little. I could be wrong, and likely am, though.
Wilder. - April 26, 2010
I think Sweeney singling in the 9th buys him another 3 months
Griffin Cooper - April 26, 2010
I think the fact that he hit the ball hard that one time
should give him the edge over Griffey.
chaney - April 26, 2010
While I obviously agree with your message
How is this the appropriate thread? Sweeney had an RBI single. Griffey was only 1-4 but he didn’t strand any runners. The real problems were Lopez, Figgins, Kotchman, and Wilson, and none of them are going anywhere.
Jeff Sullivan - April 26, 2010
Slow and steady failure. The most boring kind of failure.
Nojf33 - April 26, 2010
True.
On the other hand, we had the much more exciting kind of failure all weekend, fast and sudden.
So enjoy! Variety is the spice of life, after all.
doublemazaa - April 26, 2010
I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: SPRING TRAINING GAMES DON'T MATTER
oh wait
pdb - April 26, 2010
How can you have said it a thousand times if you've said it once?
Coach Owens - April 26, 2010
You can say something after saying it one time
Dewey N - April 26, 2010
You can say something after saying it one time
Dewey N - April 26, 2010
I'll rec this when you get to a thousand times
Matthew - April 26, 2010
But then my rec/comment ratio would plummet
Dewey N - April 26, 2010
Unless he rec'd it every single time.
Hopefulmsfan - April 27, 2010
Our biggest problem was that we couldn't chain up rallies
I wonder why. Could it be because of the ordering of the lineup? I mean, with Lopez and Griffey batting 4-5, what could go wrong?
Allen Wu - April 26, 2010
Ken Griffey Jr. left zero runners on base today
Jeff Sullivan - April 26, 2010
Apologist!
Dewey N - April 26, 2010
Get him!
Dewey N - April 26, 2010
Apparently Griffey is supposed to go 4-4 every time he is in the lineup.
Fin - April 26, 2010
Homerun once a month would be fine by me.
hcoguy - April 26, 2010 via mobile
Homerun soon would be fine with me, I'm missing my red meat.
TrustBaseball - April 26, 2010
I'm just stoked he only hit one GB to the right side
That, my friends, is progress. That is the belief system at work.
tait644 - April 26, 2010
Our biggest problem tonight was "not enough doilies".
TrustBaseball - April 26, 2010
Well I said I'd be realistically happy if we were .500 when we got Lee back.
If we can win the next 2 that’ll be true. This is the only thing keeping me from being really, really upset.
SethGrandpa - April 26, 2010
Clearly you guys don't have faith in the Belief System...
look on the bright side- all of our relievers are fresh, which is good, cause according to Wak, you’re only two days away from needing a 7 man bullpen. Second, Yuni is no longer on the team so he won’t go barreling out into left field and take out Milton’s knee. Third, Cliff Lee will soon join the team and get to enjoy losing 2-0 and 3-0 games. Fourth, the team’s lack of offense makes these games go so much quicker- I was able to have time to do the dishes and start a couple of loads of laundry with the extra 25 minutes or so given to me by a 2 hour and 45 minute game.
Wak just needs to tell the guys to get some KC BBQ, get shit faced, skip BP, and shuffle the line-up- replace Griffey with Tui, throw Byrnes in left and go with the all bunt offense against Grienke. Maybe when he tries to field the fourth or fifth one he’ll slip and blow an achilles.
RustyJohn - April 26, 2010
Are you saying that M's fans
should Trust The Process?
Zonis - April 26, 2010
Awwww
Another loss. Maybe next time.
ThundaPC - April 26, 2010 via mobile
Maybe the time after next.
I was able to go to one game last year and it was the Greinke start at Safeco. This offense does not strike me as more potent than last years’.
TrustBaseball - April 26, 2010
Reply fail.
TrustBaseball - April 26, 2010
Not sure if it matters
But the weather was awful. windy out to right center, cold, rainy, eight hundred people in attendance. Miserable.
hcoguy - April 26, 2010 via mobile
So frustrating.
But not panicking yet.
sanford_and_son - April 26, 2010
I'm blaming Tim Tschida. His being on the field was the reason we lost.
Oh, and Rob Johnson.
the other side - April 26, 2010
After these losses, Jeff's good humour is the only thing keeping me going.
The Kyle Davies face thing was great, can still make me smile again even after such a sucktastic game.
Sam Regens - April 26, 2010
RJ with the biggest contribution...I dont...I just...Oh boy, Im going to bed.
Poor Felix.
the other side - April 26, 2010
Look at it this way:
the Red Sox and Dodgers, two teams that every expects to be really good this year are also two games under .500.
Coach Owens - April 26, 2010
Yup plus the Sox have the Yankees and Rays to deal with.
MFAN - April 26, 2010
Yes, but we're currently playing the White Sox and the Royals
we need to beat the crappy teams because these should be easy wins.
Oh well, it’s not nearly time to panic yet. Four straight losses, but four very winnable games. If we go 9-153 with a -150 run differential, I would say we were a lot more unlucky than just bad
seattlebruin - April 27, 2010
Brad Thompson has gills
Mariner John - April 26, 2010
Icthyosapien!
JAH - April 26, 2010
I think you mean Thomson
Dewey N - April 27, 2010
Come on Figgy
The walks are nice, but the dude’s on pace for 170 strikeouts when he’s usually somewhere around 100. I know his BABIP is low, and if you bring it up to his career level he’d be hitting ~.264. Even worse is that his line drive % is down and fly ball % which probably won’t be getting him to his career .340 BABIP. He’s not the biggest problem, and 20 game sample size, but dammit I want the annoying Chone Figgins who hits .300, not the one that hits .190
Trenchtown - April 26, 2010
Drayer had a note
about Figgins and Ichiro, this morning
