Our team is retardiculous
Dewey N - May 17, 2010
This lineup is a fucking disaster
Griffin Cooper - May 17, 2010
I don't understand the fascination with Tui
Sure, he’s a righty. Saunders, though, has an actual future in the league and should be getting these ABs against lefties with good stuff.
billt721 - May 17, 2010
Is the bench this banged up?
Or has Wak taken to using a Ouija board to determine the line up?
wetzelcoal - May 17, 2010
Manu Tuiasosopo isn't dead
Griffin Cooper - May 17, 2010
Win Leverage!
abender20 - May 17, 2010
Our roster is sooooooo bad.
ThundaPC - May 17, 2010
I'm convinced Wak hates RRS
this makes two starts in a row he’s torpedoed the lineup for the Aussie. On top of being not so hot this year, he’s not getting many breaks.
Drew_D - May 17, 2010
And yet..
He loves Sean White. It boggles the mind.
Drew_D - May 17, 2010
RRS has pitched pretty terribly, I think he has nothing to complain about except his own performance.
The ones I really feel sorry for because of lack of offensive support are Fister and Cliff Lee.
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
What about Felix and Vargas?
kennerdoloman - May 17, 2010
Them also of course. RRS has been the only starter who's been terrible. (The others terrific).
But Fister and Lee really have been getting a raw deal.
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
Snell didn't do too well, either.
But yeah, Fister and Lee have both been screwed over aplenty.
kennerdoloman - May 17, 2010
It's as if Wak is blindly putting Ichiro and Figgins atop the lineup, then putting on a blindfold and throwing darts to set the rest of the lineup.
Every time he misses the board, Griffey gets to bat fifth.
thehemogoblin - May 17, 2010
I sure wish Wak drops Figgins down to 9th soon.
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
...
Decatur - May 17, 2010
I'm just gonna sit here and rec and un-rec and rec this over and over
Since I’ve already stated my position about Wak and everything and don’t want to talk about it anymore, this is by far the most therapeutic option left to me. Other than killing large mammals. Opening Day should not be in October.
Kermit. - May 17, 2010
When in Wak going to stop starting Griffey all the time??
It’s driving me crazy. Everytime he comes up to bat, I think, there’s an out and hope it’s not a double play ball!
drm1125 - May 17, 2010
As mentioned in the previous post, if Griffey doesn't start, he's your only "albe" body on the bench.
Johnson, Langerhans, and Sweeney are hurt. The only person able to defensively sub today is Saunders.
CMC_Stags - May 17, 2010
Then Wak should've put Saunders in left. Fucking ridiculous.
kennerdoloman - May 17, 2010
Which means you get to play Griffey on defense if anyone gets injured.
Might want to rethink that one.
eponymous_coward - May 17, 2010
Is that really worse than starting him as the DH?
I don’t really understand our fascination with playing Griffey in order to protect a defensive substitution. Obviously if someone gets hurt then Griffey would have to fill in…isn’t it more beneficial to start someone who can hit and play the odds that no one gets hurt?
mwalter - May 17, 2010
Is Sweeney really hurt?
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
If that's really the case, Tui should be the one on the bench
since he has the ability to (badly) play both the infield and outfield, as well as being the emergency catcher. Plus Saunders is a pretty cool guy.
I Lick Squirrels - May 17, 2010
Hey, Tui could be a great guy too
But not Griffey. He’s a dick.
Cantu Easley Winn - May 17, 2010
Eh plays good defense and doesn't afraid of anything.
appleshampoo - May 17, 2010 via mobile
I keep reading posts like this...
and it’s like Griffey being on the bench most of last week against RHPs didn’t happen.
PLU Tim - May 17, 2010
It doesn't feel like he's been on the bench. It just feels like he's always playing.
drm1125 - May 17, 2010
Why isn't he on the bench now? Is Sweeney really hurt?
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
If Sweeney is really hurt, he needs to be on the DL.
We keep way to many players that are hurt off the DL and on the bench for days and days.
drm1125 - May 17, 2010
That's true. I'm just hoping this isn't some stupid statement from Wak.
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
Sweeney keeps saying he can play. I'm puzzled as to how he can't manager to walk up
to homeplate, swing a bat a handful of times for a few hours, and maybe do some light jogging.
If your body cannot handle this level of activity, maybe it’s time to retire from pro sports
Rudy4three - May 17, 2010

Rudy4three - May 17, 2010
Reporters yesterday said he was wearing a patch on his back after the game.
So yes, his back is actually sore.
drblacknwhite - May 17, 2010
Next up...
fun with ammonia and chlorox
Bearskin Rugburn - May 17, 2010
Sounds like a gas.
thehemogoblin - May 17, 2010
This roster is total shit. With this ragged lineup and RRS (who has been terrible this season)
on the mound this organization is really tempting their fans to go find an alternate source of entertainment this evening.
Rudy4three - May 17, 2010
Why is Tui starting?
I almost just badmouthed him now, but in any case Tui seems terrible and shown nothing to indicate that he belongs in the big leagues now or in the near future, or am I wrong?
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
Jeff pointed out the 4-5-6 batters above,
but when you look at the lineup, there are only 2 hitters, Ichiro and Guti, surrounded by flotsam.
Ichiro, RF
Figgins, 2B
Gutierrez, CF
Lopez, 3B
Griffey, DH
Tuiasosopo, LF
Kotchman, 1B
Josh Wilson, SS
Bard, C
Sam Regens - May 17, 2010
Stop existing, Griffey
