I can't recall feeling this satisfied with a loss.
ThundaPC - May 29, 2010
Is it wrong to hope he misses a lot of time?
OceanBird - May 29, 2010
Absolutely not.
I haven’t stopped grinning yet.
wyte_lightning - May 29, 2010
Good, but with our luck, he'll only miss a week or two
I haven’t seen the highlight yet thanks to FOX’s blackout bullshit, and it doesn’t appear to be online yet.
OceanBird - May 29, 2010
They were putting an aircast on his ankle.
Possibly broken :D
wyte_lightning - May 29, 2010
Teej was right about FIggins
Poochie - May 29, 2010
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Eyeball Kid - May 29, 2010
Oh it ended
Alexander Calloway - May 29, 2010
Bill Gramatica?
waldo rojas - May 29, 2010
Tore his ACL celebrating a field goal in an incident just as stupid
craig3410 - May 29, 2010
The 2010 Mariners : IF WE LOSE, WE'RE TAKING YOU FUCKERS WITH US
craig3410 - May 29, 2010
Ichiro and the Kamikaze kids
OceanBird - May 29, 2010
This makes the Felix/Morales baseball commercial even more hilarious
Nearly prophetic in more ways than one.
Jaejo - May 29, 2010
Gif please, for those of us that didn't get to see it live
craig3410 - May 29, 2010
That made losing easier..
But a certain fat man won his 7th today and K’d 11 Cards in the process….
blueside714 - May 29, 2010
Really? I hadn't heard
Griffin Cooper - May 29, 2010
I know that a lot of people don't read the game threads
But believe me, we know. And now we can stop talking about this.
Jeff Sullivan - May 29, 2010
Yeah I wasn't home til the 8th.
I’m going to the game tomorrow though, hopefully Snell can- yeah I won’t kid myself.
blueside714 - May 29, 2010
Soft tossing lefty + Cardinals lineup = two- or three- hitter
It’s one of the strongest constants in the universe.
craig3410 - May 29, 2010
True, except for Silva being a RHP.
drblacknwhite - May 29, 2010
Soft-tossing anyone, then.
They just especially have troubles versus lefties.
craig3410 - May 29, 2010
The Cards are a mess right now, but Silva was getting some real sweetheart calls.
I was following both games on gameday, and gameday hated a lot of Silva’s called strikes as much as it hated that called strike against Ichiro to end the top of the 10th. By the way, what the FUQ was up with that call? It was a plate-width outside according to gameday. Was it that bad on the TV?

Holy Jeezus!
faceplant_04 - May 29, 2010
That has to be photoshopped. Holy shit. >_>
joof - May 29, 2010
Yeah, it definitely is, considering it was the other foot
But even the actual injury looked almost identical to that.
Matt Erickson - May 29, 2010
Can you tell which leg is which from that still photo?
I sure as hell can’t.
MarkE - May 29, 2010
It isn't photoshopped.
It’s an AP picture.

2nd row, 2nd from the left.
faceplant_04 - May 29, 2010
Well dammit, now they added more pictures.
Just go to AP images and search for Kendry Morales and it will pop up.
faceplant_04 - May 29, 2010
Yeah, you're right
After looking at it several more times, I all of a sudden saw it differently. It kind of popped out at me, like an autostereogram.
Matt Erickson - May 29, 2010
Woo
Griffin Cooper - May 29, 2010
It's on youtube, if anyone is interested in seeing it before it gets taken down.

faceplant_04 - May 29, 2010
Awesome.
I don’t think MLB has the rights to have that video removed.
Wilder. - May 29, 2010
.
CapSea - May 29, 2010
That photo was shopped but, it was really close to how far it actually turned.
Barring a miracle he’s done for the year.
DHforHOF - May 29, 2010
AHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my god that is amazing.
Goose - May 29, 2010
Other silly celebration injuries
here
msb - May 29, 2010
Holy Shit... Either it's real or the Photographer credited (Mark J. Terrill) is the real Eddie Brock.
DHforHOF - May 29, 2010
ESPN Linked photo #6 of 15.
DHforHOF - May 29, 2010
Sorry.
ESPN link
DHforHOF - May 29, 2010
Makes me think of Kendall's ankle.
msb - May 29, 2010
By the way gents, Roy Halladay
Corco - May 29, 2010
Shhhhhhhhhhh!
Seriously, awesome.
Wilder. - May 29, 2010
This is not a game thread
Jeff Sullivan - May 29, 2010
Roy Halladay didn't injure his ankle in the postgame celebration, unlike Kendry Morales
Corco - May 29, 2010
Kendry's ankle is broken and will require surgery
Jeff Sullivan - May 29, 2010
I'm kind of surprised that teams have been doing that since (before?) 2004 and it didn't occur to the players that something like this might happen.
Jumping onto a slippery surface that you can’t see while wearing metal spikes and getting mobbed by 25 guys… That kind of sounds like Injurytown to me.
Jon S. - May 29, 2010 via mobile
Brandon League has a positive WPA for this game?
After giving up a walk-off granny?
Jon S. - May 29, 2010 via mobile
Nevermind. It's -.121 on Fangraphs.
Transcribing errors happen to all of us. Or maybe Fangraphs was slow on the update for WPA by player. Either way I opened my big mouth before I checked the source. My bad.
Jon S. - May 29, 2010 via mobile
Chone Figgins made an error
Fangraphs is wrong.
Jeff Sullivan - May 29, 2010
Ok.
