30 losses? Already!
Alexander Calloway - May 30, 2010
Fuck that game.
Faux - May 30, 2010
I'm glad I stopped watching after the 4th inning.
lailaihei - May 30, 2010
I'm actually relieved that the game is over.
ThundaPC - May 30, 2010
We still haven't won a series against the Angels since 2003!
Maury Povich - May 30, 2010
I laughed my ass off.
Teej - May 30, 2010
This was another entertaining loss!
See, it’s possible!
Jeff Sullivan - May 30, 2010
I thought it was torture.
Terribly pitched game with lots of walks on both sides, and you could see the inevitable meltdown from the sixth onward. I was at no point entertained.
Fuckmikereilly - May 30, 2010
I only saw the last couple of innings
but this business of “No lead is safe” is not much fun. I’d rather have a team that loses 10-7, 12-8 than this.
And I’ve never seen so many runners get thrown out.
ignacio - May 30, 2010
Oh, the walks were awful
but there were runs, and after the first few innings, there was excitement. And then ninth inning drama! It was all very compelling, I thought. This was a game that really grabbed the viewer by the sack.
Jeff Sullivan - May 30, 2010
Turn your head and cough?
Jeff Nye - May 30, 2010
How many walk-offs is that now?
I think I can remember 5 off the top of my head … but it sure feels like a lot more.
HitKing69 - May 30, 2010
Eight or nine
Teej - May 30, 2010
Almost a third of our losses?
That must be some sort of record
HitKing69 - May 30, 2010
The record is 16
According to the comments of this article.
CapSea - May 30, 2010
3 by Aardsma, most if not all of League's 5 losses, Colome in extra innings
and Mark Lowe had a few
ignacio - May 30, 2010
This is starting to get unbearable.
Jackle Mackle - May 30, 2010
I WANT TO DIE
Poochie - May 30, 2010 via mobile
Goddammit... really?!?
I turned off the TV after we were up 7-2, come back to check the recap and find out the bullpen had another implosion?! This is ridiculous. I think I’ve finally crossed the Tropic of Cairo into the realm of indifference.
wyte_lightning - May 30, 2010
I was already below the Tropic of Cairo,
but somehow this game just pushed me back up to mad. Ugh, this game was really quite miserable.
Bicycle Rider - May 30, 2010
That you turned off the TV in the first place is a pretty good indication of that.
Matthew - May 31, 2010
We are the unluckiest team ever.
ARock - May 30, 2010
We scored after a baseball bounced off the second base umpire
Jeff Sullivan - May 30, 2010
Even in games where we get really lucky, we still lose.
Point stands.
Two Rs and Two Ls - May 30, 2010
We put in Colome with runners on
Wak asked for this
wetzelcoal - May 30, 2010
Well that's nice took a call from my brother, got back to see we got walked off for the 2nd day in a row.
or for the 1st depending on whether or not you consider yesterday a walk off or carted off moment.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
Not that it matters, this just sucks.
Cruz on the DL for Texas & Morales for the Angels & this is what we do with those gifts. Fuck.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
This is awful.
Our Bullpen, I just don’t understand it. How are they bad!?
Gah. This might be the loss that seals the deal for me. This is unbearable.
Mariner Melee - May 30, 2010
I hate everything and everybody
lemonverbena - May 30, 2010 via mobile
At least we'll always have:
FairWeatherFred - May 30, 2010
And how pathetic are we because of it?
Goose - May 30, 2010
The last 5 years in this city have just plain hurt to the core all the way around.
Haven’t we taken enough already.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
We've had a worse five years than New Orleans.
Fuckmikereilly - May 30, 2010
WOOOOOOOOO
JLC - May 30, 2010
The worst part about DFA-ing Colome is we'll just replace him with another hard throwing RHP who can't throw strikes either.
Well at least Josh Fields has a curveball of sorts and gets groundballs.
Come back Mark Lowe I miss your twirls/pirouettes after you throw a pitch.
Slurvey - May 30, 2010
We would replace him with White
Jeff Sullivan - May 30, 2010
White > Colome
Cantu Easley Winn - May 30, 2010
So a hard throwing RHP that can't throw strikes.
harkening - May 31, 2010
3 hours and 38 minutes for a nine inning baseball game and we can't even win
That may be the worst game I’ve ever seen.
Corco - May 30, 2010
You must not remember the Kenny Lofton extra's game in Cleveland.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
Extra innings are fine
There is no reason whatsoever why a 9 inning game should take 3 hours and 38 minutes
Corco - May 30, 2010
It was 4 Hours & 11 Minutes, we were up 14-2 & lost in the 11th 15-14 on a broken bat single.
Tied the MLB record for largest come from behind win. That was by far the worst Mariner’s game I have ever seen.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
To note though this will probably go down as the worst game of the worst season in club history.
And the above mentioned game did manage to happen in the middle of 116 wins, so I understand the feeling.
DHforHOF - May 30, 2010
This was a horrible game and we didn't even get to win
Gihyou - May 30, 2010
I'd rather see Luke French or Steven Shell start than Ian Snell.
He’s just got a dark cloud of doom over his head.
ignacio - May 30, 2010
HOW DID COLOME GET A + WIN EXPECTANCY???
IlliniM - May 30, 2010
Because the M's were still up by 3 runs when he left.
Matt Erickson - May 30, 2010
He inherited a jam and allowed one fairly meaningless run
Jeff Sullivan - May 30, 2010
Our bullpen is making bullpen conglomerate guy look beautiful
I blame this on him.
