GRIFFEY!
JAH - May 6, 2010
When Griffey isTHE MAN, we've got some serious trouble...
as evidenced by that chart. Lord, please help us. Can everybody just get out of their funk already. No, that’s not a question, that is a FUCKING ORDER.
TrustBaseball - May 6, 2010
Well, that's a depressing WE chart.
lailaihei - May 6, 2010 via mobile
Only event is a called strike three. Such a shitty game.
Edgar for Pres - May 6, 2010
At least these games give you ample space to place a picture on top of the chart
Milendriel - May 6, 2010
Mathematically speaking, how many games back before our expected probability of making the post season moves from ok to snowball's chance in hell?
I can realistically see this team being out of contention for good before May ends. Someone make me feel better :(
tintin - May 6, 2010
Using our pythag RS and RA numbers
Looks like 8.4%. If you don’t think the team is as bad as they have played lately then those numbers go up.
Edgar for Pres - May 6, 2010
Goddamn it. We're playing the Angels on my birthday. If Tori Hunter ruins my birthday, I'm stabbing someone.
joof - May 6, 2010
The Designated Huggers?
InSpokane - May 7, 2010
This series reminds me of the Indians series at the start of May in 08.
This is a bad thing.
Robert - May 6, 2010
I thought you'd be one to love 2008.
Eyebrows - May 6, 2010
I hated 2008 in every aspect except for LL.
Robert - May 6, 2010
FUCK ALL OF YOU CUNT BLISTERS
Aaron Campeau - May 6, 2010
On the plus side, there's a show about volcanoes on the discovery channel soon!
OlSalty - May 6, 2010
Ahh...neat!
We’re officially further below .500 than we were all of last year!
ThundaPC - May 6, 2010
I'm already at the point where missing the entire game today didn't bother me in the slightest.
“We want to get good and stay good.”
So much for that 2nd part.
Goose - May 6, 2010
I am bothered by the fact that I missed a fantastic game thread though.
Goose - May 6, 2010
Go Giants!
Robert - May 6, 2010
Yup. They're my NL team.
I really had a hard time rooting for them when Bonds was there, because he was a dick, but still. Now, they’re like the good version of us. And they’ve got a really nice stadium, too.
Rachmaninoff - May 6, 2010
Same.
Moved here from Seattle last August. AT&T is a great park and, oh yeah, the Giants win.
1L - May 7, 2010
Let's Go DBacks!
Yeah they may not win that many more games that the Mariners this year, but they should hit well all year, and right now that’s enough for me.
Goose - May 6, 2010
I have kind of adopted the Giants as my NL team, but I still hate Brian Wilson.
InSpokane - May 7, 2010
They have been my NL team since the Bonds/Clark/Mitchell days.
Jed MC - May 7, 2010
I was at the game
It was college night, and people were angry, stupid and kind of drunk. It was like listening to USSM commenters yell their posts.
Gihyou - May 6, 2010
That explains why three different people with which I went to high school who don't even really like baseball were at the game.
… while I was working.
thehemogoblin - May 6, 2010
I thought tomorrow was college night.
Fin - May 6, 2010
Tomorrow is another Griffey Worship Night
Jeff Sullivan - May 6, 2010
I want Safeco Field to burst into flames and for the flames to burn so hot that the whole thing to melt and turn to liquid and for Dave Niehaus to build a boat out of Ken Griffey Jr.'s spare ass-girdles
and row Ichiro, Guti, Felix, Lee and League to safety and for all the rest of these stupid herpes pustules to be engulfed in flames and die in the most painful way possible.
Aaron Campeau - May 6, 2010
Weeeeee'rrrreeee Baaaccckkkkkk!
Goose - May 6, 2010
Well shoot
MT Olson - May 7, 2010
Gif fail
MT Olson - May 7, 2010
Reminds me of Griffey
Rob Johnson - May 7, 2010
We should've signed Washburn afterall.
ThundaPC - May 7, 2010
Who was it that said he could hit too?
Hopefulmsfan - May 7, 2010
But then you would miss out on being able to make fun of Zobrist for being so divisible.
seattle_since_81 - May 6, 2010
There are definitely 3-5 others I would include, but I agree with the sentiment
Griffin Cooper - May 7, 2010
I hate to actually discuss that game
But I can’t stop but wondering what is up with RRS. Please get better. This is very worrying.
Edgar for Pres - May 6, 2010
Can't find the zone.
Even against lefties. Really frustrating. And then throws meatballs to make up for it, that get pummeled for doubles.
Note, I have no numbers to back this up, other than his K/BB being really bad. But from observation, seems about right
appleshampoo - May 7, 2010
He feels bad for Ian Snell.
Hopefulmsfan - May 7, 2010
Speaking of which, I didn't pay attention that close to Snell tonight
How’d he look in relief? Better than normal?
Edgar for Pres - May 7, 2010
Not really
