Regression to the mean on those one run wins
That and our bullpen only had to pitch in one of those three games…
skywaker9 - June 20, 2010
4 game winning streak
and we’re still only 18-41 and 11+ out of first :(
ManifestDestiny - June 20, 2010
28-41
We aren’t that bad…
skywaker9 - June 20, 2010
Lol 18-41. Even we're not that bad.
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
No chatpseak please
Matthew - June 20, 2010
Apologies.
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
So the no chatspeak rule trumps the capitalization rule
Bearskin Rugburn - June 21, 2010
Brandon League had seven swinging strikes
Seven.
Jeff Sullivan - June 20, 2010
Nine!
Nine swinging strikes!
Jeff Sullivan - June 20, 2010
What can you say?
Its a good day for the sports-goggle wearing Mariners.
skywaker9 - June 20, 2010
Goggle Eyed Islanders ruled this day
Drew_D - June 20, 2010
The Count!
Ah-ah-ah-aaaah
Torjazz - June 20, 2010
Obviously should've remembered to put in a picture.
Torjazz - June 21, 2010
and no pitcher to face!
Unless you count Corky Miller.
Mariner John - June 20, 2010 via mobile
It seemed like more than that too.
It looked as if every pitch he threw, the batter swung and looked foolish.
Hopefulmsfan - June 20, 2010
9 swinging strikes ah ah ah
Janic - June 20, 2010
Busted out the split en masse. Someone might be listening.
The Typical Idiot Fan - June 21, 2010
We've won 4 in a row and still managed to lose half a game in the standings over that stretch
OlSalty - June 20, 2010
We're almost as close in the wild card as we are in the division.
Fuckmikereilly - June 20, 2010
Amazing
Jeff Sullivan - June 20, 2010
Hah, we can't even win right.
craig3410 - June 20, 2010
At least we are getting closer to .500? Right?
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
.405 WP at the moment.
craig3410 - June 20, 2010
Over .400!
Aaron Campeau - June 20, 2010
Mariners Baseball is good for the envoronment.
ThundaPC - June 20, 2010
*environment.
ThundaPC - June 20, 2010
NO MORE TUI! TUI'S GONE AWAY!
Decatur - June 20, 2010
Ding dong the witch is dead for now
Poochie - June 20, 2010
You mean "warlock"?
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
Nope
abender20 - June 20, 2010
No, witch
Poochie - June 20, 2010
You're implying TUI is a girl?
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
He turned me into a newt.
Faux - June 21, 2010
Wait so was RR-S as bad as his line looked?
seattlebruin - June 20, 2010
He was so-so.
Didn’t get very many close calls.
Maury Povich - June 20, 2010
Given how he's been? I'll take it
JAH - June 20, 2010 via mobile
No.
harkening - June 20, 2010
8 swinging strikes, 2 Ks, a HBP and 3 walks through 6.
He was gassed after throwing 96 pitches through six innings and Wak put him in for the 7th and he promptly walked two guys before being pulled. He wasn’t great, but he made tremendous progress today against a team that hits well.
Decatur - June 20, 2010
Thanks!
seattlebruin - June 20, 2010
Shockingly, ESPN's box scores are the only place I can find with swinging strikes recorded as soon as the game's over. They're actually quite useful.
Decatur - June 20, 2010
Dammit now I have a reason to look at their baseball section
Bearskin Rugburn - June 21, 2010
There was really no reason for him to be in in the 7th
Belief System, etc; but there’s a point where you’re hanging your starter out to dry.
Drew_D - June 20, 2010
If Wak hadn't put him in, he probably would have used Sean White and we lose this game 4-1.
joey90 - June 20, 2010
He's the best reliever in the pen and RRS was gassed.
Who would you prefer in that situation? Your options are Sean White, Chad Cordero, Shawn Kelley, Brian Sweeney, Garrett Olson, or Aardsma.
abender20 - June 21, 2010
Meant RRS shouldn't have been in
I’m 100% completely ok with league coming in in the 7th.
Drew_D - June 21, 2010
I'm struggling to stay below the Tropic of Cairo
Which is amusing after seeing him DH for the Reds on Friday.
Jeff Nye - June 20, 2010
Here let me help you

OlSalty - June 20, 2010
Heh, yeah, that helps some.
Plus the team has not exactly looked good. I fell asleep during today’s game, that’s how excited I was.
Jeff Nye - June 20, 2010
Why are the M's following my total, utter apathy with 4 straight wins?
Kenneth Arthur - June 20, 2010
Why am I even having hope?
When I know that I will be hurt once again?
M'sFanatic - June 20, 2010
This win streak is done once Carlos Silva takes the mound.
seatownsports - June 20, 2010
Hahhaha man I haven't laughed in a while.
Thursday is either going to be awesome or shitty. There is no in between emotions when it comes to that game.
LeftArrow2 - June 20, 2010
This team could roll off a 25-game winning streak starting now and still find a way to not
be in first place at the end of it.
craig3410 - June 20, 2010
We are so annoying.
JY - June 20, 2010
1916 Giants!
I Lick Squirrels - June 20, 2010
I'm happy for RRS
ignacio - June 20, 2010
Same here.
He needed this badly. Lets see if he can build off of this.
LeftArrow2 - June 20, 2010
Baltimore seems stacked with young talent
Hernandez, Jones, Markakis, Tillman, Simon, Weiters, Matusz should all have a chance to contribute. Guthrie, Ohman, Berken, Scott and Wigginton should all be decent trade bait, and all are performing well.
How the hell is this team challenging the 2003 Tigers?
Fuckmikereilly - June 21, 2010
Because most of the talent isn't ready?
Talented sure but right now Wieters and Jones aren’t hitting well. Garrett Atkins has sucked the life out of first base. Tillman has gotten shelled. And some guy named Luis Montanez has a negative .8 WAR in only 58 PA’s.
Kenneth Arthur - June 21, 2010
Luis Montanez?
Fuck that guy.
