I'm so glad baseball is back!
When i first saw it

I thought the Angels were whipping the mariners

I can't decide if that's a dog on the leash or a child.

Child makes a lot more sense.

Is it a whip? This is racist!
Racists gotta race
It's neither.

It’s a blind woman knocking over a small child with her walking stick.

I thought

It looked more like a nun whipping a school boy.
But maybe that is just the memories of Catholic School and Sr. Hanora Wilson….

I hate those people that put kids on leashes and I hate the Angels, so it all makes sense

Also look at that twisted freak Angel mother with its head on crooked and dragging an ambiguous dog-child figure through a two-dimensional brown and lifeless plane.

Or am I overthinking this.

I always thought a harness for children made a lot of sense.

Now I have a 2 year old. If I put her in a harness and on a leash, she’d drag me down the street.

2nd half of the season

“No where to go but up!”

I predict a 79-1 record from here on out.

if we have any leftover games then coin flip.

79-1 in 73 games.

Damn we’re good.

If we're that good why the hell did we lose a game in there?
I thought we had 80 games left

And that 1 loss was supposed to be today.

Nope...

The All-Star Game is the “mid-point” of the season, but it’s typically a week or two after the 81st game. You’ll note above that the Mariners have now played 89 games.

Halman hits homer #20.

Chavez hits homer #21.

Chavez has a good follow up season going for him

Though it is High Desert

Two-thirds of his HRs are at home.
It's 13 and 8 now.

He’s hasn’t been terrible on the road or anything. And he’s walking more. Unfortunately striking out more, too.

14 & 7.

They were playing at home tonight.

Whoops.

Right you are.

Ackley with his first AAA HR too.
You think Chavez strikes out a lot

Denny Almonte. Epic. That’s like a 240 strikeout pace. And on pace for less than 20 walks. He makes Greg Halman look like Milton Bradly.

He's in the Cal League though.

Which means he has hits drop in anyway. Kalian Sams would be more amusing as he’s struck out eleven fewer times despite over a hundred fewer plate appearances, but he also walks a bit more, which takes some of the fun out of it.

Mark Reynolds struck out 223 times at the major league level in a year.

Still astounds me.

I for one am rooting for Greg Halman to smash that record.
Was Denny Almonte

the kid who was the star pitcher in the little league years some years back? Then they found out he was 3-4 years older than everyone else?

Close.

That was Danny Almonte

Shit, I've been thinking it was that Little League kid this whole time.

One stupid vowel off…

I like his 39-0 K-BB against lefties
