But is it too much to hope that Jack makes another deal or two before the deadline? Or would we have heard whispers of a potential deal by now if there were to be one? I’m just getting less and less excited about 2011 the more I see these boys play this year.
I read all the requisit articles, but I’m still not sure if this is the right place to post this.
Because our season is pretty much lost, I was wondering if you could do a breakdown of all the free agents that we might persue next year. Not the big ticket guys that the Yankees are likely to buy, but the middle tier players that might not be on everyones radar.
I need something else to look out for this season, since I owe my friend a night out because our record doesn’t look like it is going to be better than the Giants.
I have only been following for this year, so if this is something you do do later, then please disregard.
LL doesn’t really like and tries to discourage wild speculation about what the team should/could/might do (you’ll see it referred to as “rosterbation” and it is generally stopped before it starts), so that’s why you won’t hear much about it until September at the earliest.
I like the word art.

RangerFloppy - July 27, 2010

OlSalty - July 27, 2010

The only thing missing is Comic Sans
Brett the 49er - July 27, 2010
And it's a shame.
I like Comic Sans.
SethGrandpa - July 27, 2010
This would have been so much better if it had linked to the Daniel Gilbert letter
seattlebruin - July 27, 2010
Well now I feel bad.
Because you’re right.
SethGrandpa - July 27, 2010
Love the bottle.
Explains a lot.

Nobody the M's have left to sell would really change the 2011 outlook
Jeff Sullivan - July 27, 2010
My current trade hopes have more to do with people going away
Than with what we would get back.
Jeff Nye - July 27, 2010
Exactly.
But who knows, we got something valuable out of Yuni.

GIVE THIS MAN A REC
appleshampoo - July 27, 2010
Too bad Branyan's back is giving him problems, but maybe Aardsma brings a decent piece (though likely not for 2011)

This type of discussion likely won't take place until late September at the soonest.
Eyebrows - July 27, 2010 via mobile
There's just no way to tell what the free agent market is going to look like at this point.
Jeff Nye - July 27, 2010
And to add to that, Long Distance Hawks Fan,
LL doesn’t really like and tries to discourage wild speculation about what the team should/could/might do (you’ll see it referred to as “rosterbation” and it is generally stopped before it starts), so that’s why you won’t hear much about it until September at the earliest.

Does Kenny Williams pop out of a cake at any time during this party?
tait644 - July 27, 2010
Kenny Williams comes to the party screaming and running around on PCP and then gets arrested.

Fascinating.
I now know who Michael Hill is.
MT Olson - July 27, 2010
That may just be the greatest parenthetical reference attached to anybody's name in Wikipedia
Oh, you’re Michael Hill as in stabbing survivor Michael Hill?
ThomasG - July 28, 2010
Sadly he wouldn't have any idea what you're talking about.
