No real point to this, other than yay Felix is awesome
(Be you warned, for here there be .gifs)

Crisp's reaction in the second one says everything you need to know about Felix's outing lats night. The A's weren't getting at bats against Felix. They were taking turns watching him do whatever he wanted.

I just made a sandwich out of paper, white-out, post-its and paper clips, then ate it (it was all I had available).
QUIT TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!

Felix is good.

For a second I thought this said, "Felix Hernandez Is An Expensive Individual"
Janic - August 11, 2010
Also accurate.

I just wish his teammates would stop calling him Fi Fi, or however you spell it.
Aaroniero Arruruerie - August 11, 2010
I love it because it's ridiculous
Jeff Sullivan - August 11, 2010
I have always spelt it FeeFee in my head.

I believe the hop is after Ichiro & Guti tried to kill each other.
msb - August 11, 2010
Correct

Needs more Felix ribbing Moore for taking one in the jewels.
Still awesome!

I have a feeling Felix is going to become my favorite player ever
Gihyou - August 11, 2010
When?
JonBBT - August 11, 2010
I don't know, when it happens it happens.
Gihyou - August 11, 2010
Love the second one, dude is just lettin' it all out.
sanford_and_son - August 11, 2010
When Crisp just walked away before the ball even settled in Moore's glove last night.
I cracked up. Thank you for letting me see it again.

Showing them up?
I love Felix, he is by far my favorite player and I’m really sad my half season tickets passed over this start, but I was wondering while I was watching the game if the A’s would have felt like he was showing them up by celebrating so much after ever out (he pretty much did in the 7th & 8th). I chuckled to myself that in his head, he was throwing a perfect game into the 9th.
I don’t think it’s a big issue- things like this usually only get nasty in the NL, but part of me wishes that Felix were more subtle with his attitude when he’s throwing an ’I’m fucking dominating you’ game.

I think there's a difference
Felix is never looking at his opposition when he celebrates. He’s generally either yelling to himself or pointing at his teammates. You can be intense without rubbing the opponent the wrong way, and I think Felix stays on the right side of the line.
Jeff Sullivan - August 11, 2010
A fine line, I'd say.
JonBBT - August 11, 2010
It's a fine line, but I think Felix has established himself as a pitcher where the other team knows he is emotional and that he is really, really good.
If he was a rookie doing this, it would probably rub the players the wrong way.
Wilder. - August 11, 2010
Totally agreed.
Felix seems really well respected amongst the league, and really, how can’t you love Felix?
BigR - August 11, 2010
That's a good point
Congratulating your teammates on a great (or scary play in the case of Guti/Ichiro) is definitely different than mocking your opponents. I do remember this all came up with Joba awhile ago, but it doesn’t seem like a big issue.

The K looking where the batter just starts to walk away before the ump calls him out is my favorite kind of K
Schuxu - August 11, 2010
I like it when they do that and the ump *doesn't* ring them up.
Oops.
JonBBT - August 11, 2010
All hail King Felix, hear him roar!
Wilder. - August 11, 2010
And now we know what Teen Wolf would be like as a baseball player.
JonBBT - August 11, 2010
Green.
Omerta - August 11, 2010
I wonder what its like when opposing batters hear have to face Felix and hear him yell in triumph
I haven’t seen a whole lot of pitchers like that.
