I don't get the two E's.
kennerdoloman - August 17, 2010
Say Two Es.
joof - August 17, 2010
Or Two E rather.
joof - August 17, 2010
Ah, now I get it.
Thanks.
kennerdoloman - August 17, 2010
This game would have been a lot more fun to watch if it had been in April or May.
FairWeatherFred - August 17, 2010
Or October!
Snowman1025 - August 17, 2010
Basque separatists want to bomb this chart
lemonverbena - August 17, 2010
That's Spain
thewyrm - August 17, 2010
The Basque Country crosses the border
Aaron Campeau - August 17, 2010
But they definitely hate the Spanish more
Craptastic-J - August 18, 2010
True
But Pays Basque is most definitely part of Basque Country. I seen it!
lemonverbena - August 18, 2010
I wonder if the French Basque also hate the Spanish more?
I guess people get pretty angry when the government invites the Nazi’s to carpet bomb your city
Craptastic-J - August 18, 2010
Wow, Tui's the only non-negative position-player tonight?
I’ll say it again: Wow.
And yes, I know Tui’s not that bad (I’m looking at you, Jeff). Its just that he’s not good either. But tonight it seems he was better than most of our roster!
Last night was Moore’s night. Tonight, Tui’s. Saunders tomorrow?
NWade - August 17, 2010
I feel like Chone White is gonna come through huge tomorrow.
SeattExPat - August 17, 2010
Again - He's ony 24...
He’s been shuttled around between the M’s and Tacoma the last couple of seasons, when really he should have been allowed to have full seasons in AAA to develop… He had the elbow injury that cost him half a year. And – in the minor leagues he’s really shown the ability to take a walk, and also a decrease in strikeout rates. That said – he seems to be somewhat atrocious with the glove… But he’s well on his way to being more valuable (at least with the stick) than Willie freakin’ Bloomquist.

So, I'm making a Rally Fries sign for tomorrow's game.
Any suggestions on clever ways to rib Blowers?
SeattExPat - August 17, 2010
See if you can get this on it
Jeff Sullivan - August 17, 2010
I like this image
Edgar for Pres - August 17, 2010
"Blowers, give me rally fries, because according to your 3.9 career WAR over 11 seasons, this is the closest you'll ever get to starting a rally."
joof - August 17, 2010
Cold.
SeattExPat - August 17, 2010
*slow clap*
TIFO - August 17, 2010
There was a three year stretch where he was a solid regular
Poochie - August 17, 2010
According to baseball reference, he was worth 5.6 wins for the Mariners, and -2.1 wins for every other team he played for.
joof - August 18, 2010
Does B-Ref use the same WAR as Fangraphs?
I show him as 6 WAR over 11 seasons.
The Typical Idiot Fan - August 18, 2010
No
It is from CHONE
Edgar for Pres - August 18, 2010
No, and any defensive number before 2002 should be taken with a grain of salt
Poochie - August 18, 2010
Any defensive number after 2002 should be taken with a slightly smaller grain of salt
Aaron Campeau - August 18, 2010
I once saw him hit a grand slam and three run homer against Wakefield.
This game here. He wasn’t always terrible.
Sec 108 - August 18, 2010
Jim Street, professional baseball writer.
“Tuiasosopo was a last-minute starter, replacing Ryan Langerhans in left field.
That’s what French gave the Orioles hitters."
Spot the missing clause!
appleshampoo - August 17, 2010
You're being pretty generous with the word professional.
the other side - August 17, 2010
No he isn't
Matthew - August 17, 2010
Gotta say, I don't mind the winning.
It’s been a while, but seeing the M’s win feels… normal again.
Jon S. - August 17, 2010
Any Mariners fan who minds the winning is a prick
Dewey N - August 17, 2010
Then again, feeling normal after the Mariners win is odd
Matthew - August 17, 2010
Damn right it is.
This is not a good team. I should be more pleasantly surprised, even if it is Baltimore they’re beating. I think I’m too swayed by recent competence.
Jon S. - August 18, 2010
I mind the winning.
I mind it to continue damnit. 70 wins and I’ll be content.
joof - August 18, 2010
Fixed
Any
Mariners fanprick who minds the winning isa pricknot a Mariners fan.Jon S. - August 18, 2010
