where you guys were talking in a podcast and were worried that our team would be boring? Remember that? Yea, I don’t think a Mariners team will ever be boring. I suspect something like this will always surface.
I meant it to say “I don’t think a Mariners team will ever be boring personality wise.”
Because yea, it’s boring rooting for a team that has no hope. But Jeff, or Matthew, or Scruffy have a great knack for finding things like this that are quite entertaining. Whether it’s Kotchman, or Byrnes, or Ichiro shenanigans. There’s always something.
I always liked what he does with his bat when he misses his pitch, doesn't square it up,
and pops up. Kotchman is a lot more intense a player than people give him credit for, maybe because he is a product of being born and raised in a baseball family.
The last one is the best.

Methinks Casey probably makes a really disturbing face when he sharts.
box13_seattle - August 26, 2010
Oh, if only there were sound effects.
I was forced to add my own, as I scrolled down.
msb - August 26, 2010
My favorite is the face he makes right before swinging.
The terrified/angry screaming squirrel face.
Teej - August 26, 2010
Dude, I think he's going to that face too much.
That’s really all he’s got.
It’s like Jeff photoshopped that one face onto almost all of the pictures. It’s great.
seattle_since_81 - August 27, 2010
Casey Kotchman looks like a man out of place in time.
Doc Brown inadvertently snatched Kotchman from an 1889 Arizona saloon, and Kotchman’s just played along with it ever since.

I personally like the Nick Markakis one.

That looks like it has the potential to get really awkward in a hurry.

Fear - August 26, 2010
The Mariners being interesting and Jeff managing to make even the most mundane things interesting are two very different things.
Fuckmikereilly - August 26, 2010
Oops apparently it was deleted in my self edit.

Love the double ankle break
Bearskin Rugburn - August 26, 2010
I like how he looks in pain in ever single photo
Except for the one where he is injured and leaving the field
jtopps - August 26, 2010
I like how he bears his teeth on all those pictures except the one where he limps off.

I am in love with this post.

I really can't stand Kotchman. Most akward and depressed looking player in the league.

Casey looks like an Anglo Adrian Gonzalez.

His nickname should be Grimace.

I just started breaking out into laughter in the office.
He just looks like he’s forever trying to push a turd out of his ass.

Thank God you said 'ass'
