So what you're saying is that he'd fit right into this mess?
c_dowley - September 23, 2010
His OPS is 3 points higher than Loafie's.
Sign him.
Coach Owens - September 23, 2010
He'd be our cleanup guy.
HititHere - September 24, 2010
You are cruel, Mr. Sullivan
PattyB - September 23, 2010
He really is Mister Mariner
Michael Kearney - September 23, 2010
Mister Mariner 2010, more accurately.
Michael Kearney - September 23, 2010
Well this isn't complete without this:

i think what is being said is -
We are Jeff Cirillo. The Seattle Cirillos. Or is it something deeper? Are we channeling Cirillo from the grave?

Fucking hated that guy.
He was the first Mariners that a truly hated. And I don’t think he’s dead.

Jose Mesa for me!

Jose Paniagua. Hands down.
Remember that 15-14 loss in August 2001 when the Indians had that improbable comeback? That was my birthday.
Paniagua had been throwing fastballs behind righties unintentionally for weeks by then, but he gets put in and gives up Lofton & Vizquel singles. The cherry on top is that JOLBERT CABRERA got the game-winning hit in the 11th.
Man, I need to start looking at old box scores more often. I miss seeing names like Dave Burba on my computer screen.

What are the odds that so many players on one team could under-perform to such an extent?
Just crazy. It’s hard to resist the idea that there is something organizational or environmental to blame.

I read a sentence in the book Moneyball today
that read “Jeff Cirillo bitch about batting 9th in the Seattle lineup” and I was crackin up.
Marinerfanjake - September 23, 2010
If they Mariners are a Cirillo/Kotchman/David Bell mutation
lemonverbena - September 24, 2010
Well fuck
lemonverbena - September 24, 2010
My favorite part about Jeff Cirillo is that one day he will have to die.
Robert - September 24, 2010
Will you be the one responsible for this?
seattlebruin - September 24, 2010
I think we all know the answer to that question
pdb - September 24, 2010
If he had the means
and equipment.
Lucas Cervi - September 24, 2010
Thanks a lot Mr. Positive

What's it mean when...
The guy with the highest OBP in Jeff’s list is Josh “replacement level” Wilson?
