Paxton was the only Clinton LumberKing to make the team. He went out and pitched an inning early on, striking out his first two and retiring his third batter on a fly to left. Most of his pitches were in the 88-89 mph range, but he did get a strikeout on a 92 and had a 96 at another point. He and his West division teammates won the game 8-3.
He was sitting at 88-89 with his fastball, but hit 96?
That’s strange.

Throws a sinker.

Ah, so the higher velocity was a 4-seam?
redwolf75 - June 22, 2011
That would generally be how it goes.
