I think “the best we can do is guys even the Mariners no longer want” is how you know you’ve hit rock bottom as a franchise. Royals employed it long enough to build up their farm system and now they’re a team full of young promise (some of which will inevitably fail to live up to it, but that’s how it goes). So for Dodgers fans, this is sort of good news in a “it’s always darkest before the dawn” sort of way. Of course depending on how long it takes them to unfuck all the crap McCourt pulled when he dismembered the business side, it could be dark in Chavez ravine for quite a while.
Hopefully Kuo makes Kennedy and/or Bard look silly.

Dodgers=New Royals?

The Royals always scoop up former Mariners.

Similar to how the Lions of the past few years had several ex-Hawks.
Peterson, Sims, Jackson, Burleson, Heller, Morris, Hobbs, etc.

The Royals are mostly past that stage
